My NHS doctor won't even refer me to an endocrinologist, he says come back in 6 months.. he has sent in blood tests but what happens is if the TSH is tested first and is within range, they won't follow his instructions to test T3 or T4 or free levels. This has happened twice now, going against the doctor's written request because the TSH was " in range. " I know I am low range in T3 because I can feel it. I have also had low adrenal function in the past and have a small supply of hydrocortisone with me, I may take some since I'm swelling up now and so tired from having low T3 now due to being on levothyroxine only.
