Guest guest
Hi Jayne, you sent the following message to me but I am posting it on the forum so that others can help. I am in the middle of a letter that is very complicated at the moment, so not much spare time, but I am sure somebody here will be along to help you. Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila, I have recently stopped taking my normal dose of Eltroxin (175mcg) and started taking 50mcg of T4 and 12.5mcg of T3 (twice daily @ 8am & 3pm). I am reading 's book about T3 only, but thought I would see how I feel on T4/T3 for a month at least as I know T3-only dosing is very tricky. I know you stress the importance of checking levels of Ferritin, and B12, to see if that is why we are not converting T4 properly to the active T3, and I notice that my Endo. has asked for by iron levels to be tested in June when I next see him. However, I just found old blood test results from 2009 PRIOR to me starting T4 for Hashimoto's. Here are the results and will post the June results to see any changes. I am also confused at the ref. ranges as various websites measure in ng, ug, umol and percentages etc. Appreciate your views on these figures. Many thanks, Jayne B12 - 536 ng/L (160-900) Ferritin - 69.9ug/L ( 5 -148) Iron - 25.8 umol/L ( 11 - 32) TIBC - 58.9 umol/L ( 45 - 70)
