....crying at everything!

Does anyone else have this or have you had it and it's gone with treatment?

I'm sure this is thyroid-related - I never used to cry at anything, over the

years it's gradually crept in as my thyroid problems have gradually increased,

and I'm now at the point where I will cry at the drop of a hat, I am trying to

watch Crufts now and so long as I sit totally silent and still I'm fine.

However it being me, and me watching agility all day on the live feed, I can't

sit still and silent because I get a tad excited :P and whenever there's an

excited moment I'm fighting back the flipping tears!

And we'll not even talk about the special dogs voting thing, I'm just a wreck

with those.

I don't mind it in some circumstances - I lost one dog last year very suddenly,

and I've one nearing the end now, then I think it's fair enough, I should be

upset. But not when watching agility and getting excited for goodness' sake!

I'm up to 1.5 grains now as of Monday - someone please tell me this will get

better!!

Niki, join forces with Ann (a very new member here too) who is

also having problems with crying at everything - read message 100827 and those

that came in as responses. I wonder if you are suffering with adrenal fatigue.

Check out the information in our ADRENAL folder in the Files section and do the

Adrenal Questionnaire that you will find there and let us know how you score http://health.groups.lcom/group.thyroid treatment/files/

HI Niki,

As thyroid meds use up our adrenal stocks and

adrenals also use up oestrogen and are needed by the adrenal glands – I would

say that you are low in oestrogen.

Only reason I am putting two and two together on this

one is that last week I had my 5 days off my oestrogen and I was very very

fragile – and it was at the same time I had upped my thyroid meds –

when I am on lower dose of thyroid meds this doesn’t happen.

It is easy to forget that Oestrogen is an adrenal

hormone as well as cortisol and the other numerous hormones that make up the adrenal

cascade.

Hope this helps

Best wishes

Mandy

Sheila - I did score highly for adrenal fatigue when I first did it last year,

following that I went on NAX for quite some time and that seemed to resolve it.

Main sign for me for that was the scratch test and if I tried that recently, it

disappeared almost immediately.

Having written that, I've just done it again and it's lingering a bit again so

I'll get myself back on the NAX. The crying's been an issue for quite a while,

though.

Mandy - that is very interesting. I've been on the depo jab for just over a

year now, before that I had a 6 months break and was on it for a couple of years

before that (and the implant before that, and depo again before that, so been on

birth control for a number of years now). I wonder if that is having an effect.

It's not something I have any intention of coming off, mind - actually looking

at the mirena coil at the moment, my periods were always very heavy and very

painful (and I felt like I'd been punched in the boobs for 2 weeks out of 4!),

frankly I prefer the crying!
