Guest guest
Hello n Are you letting the Graves' run a natural course to see if this is self healing, or are you taking medication? If so, what are you taking and what dose, and is this working. Also what other supplements are you taking? Do you have recent thyroid function test results? Are you trying to kill of the antibodies. Going gluten free helps here because antibodies thrive on gluten, but more on that later. I have attached a paper written by Dr Peatfield and I hope this helps. Luv - Sheila Very brief summary:-) Over 20 years ago, I was told I had chronic fatigue and I have antibodies for sackie B. Health and energy levels have been very 'up and down' and, 2 years ago, I saw Dr P and found I was hypothyroid. Last year, things changed and I now have thryoid eye disease and Graves antibodies. I wonder if anyone else is in a similar situation and what they're doing about it? Thanks to anyone who responds:-) Cheers, n No virus found in this message. Guest guest
Hello n!I can´t help you, i wish i could. but i´m sure someone can help you in here. there are so many people that know so much!I wanted to ask you some questions... i also was told 11 years ago that i have Chronic fatigue and I also have antibodies for ackie B. But i always thought that CFS wasn´t my problem. For the fist time in these 11 years i insisted to get my thyroid antibodies tested and they came back positive. They have told me that i have hashimoto´s thyroiditis but i´m still trying to find a Dr in Spain that will treat me. I read your message and i was wondering if you got treated for hypothyroid... and if you felt better after treatment. Also i wanted to ask you.. who is Dr P? Is it Dr ?This forum has helped me so much, it has given me hope that maybe treating my thyroid i will feel better. Was that your case?Thank you so much in advance! :)I hope somebody can help you!!!:)El 10/03/2012, a las 18:12, mariandyer9@... escribió: Very brief summary:-) Over 20 years ago, I was told I had chronic fatigue and I have antibodies for sackie B. Guest guest
Sorry - I am confused now:-) Am I replying to the moderator or the person who asked the question or am I posting on the forum??? The doctor is Dr Peatfield. I guess it's OK to say that because his name is already here? And I am happy for to contact me if she wishes. n > > I have deleted your question giving the doctors name. If the doctor mentioned is in fact someone other than Dr. Peatfield, could you please give the person you are asking who it is permission to contact you privately to answer that. Guest guest
Still not sure I'm doing this posting right ... but I hope so. I've got an appointment with doc next week and he's going to take blood for me to send for a Comprehensive Thyroid Assessment from Genova. Does anyone know if this is the best test? In the last year, I've gone from hypothyroid to hyperthyroid (Graves autoimmune) but seem to have a lot of hypo symptoms eg feeling cold, freezing hands, putting on weight... I've regained over a stone of the 2 stone I lost when I first went hyper. Thanks for any input:-) n
