Guest guest
August 2011 Sample 1 ....28 (12-22) The first sample should be at its highest in a morning to help you get through the day, but not as high as this, which is outside the top of the reference range. Sample 2... 5.5 (5.0 - 9.0) -This is only just above the bottom of the reference range. Sample 3....49.1(3.0 - 7.0)(didn't fit on the chart haha) - This is far, far, far too high. How did you actually feel in the late afternoon when you had this test done? Sample 4...5.5(1.0 - 3.0) - and this too is too high. Cortisol level should be at its lowest at this time in order that you sleep well and through the night. Did you ever get ANY sleep at night at that time ? Latest Results 2012 Sample 1 ....42.4 (12-22) - Ouch! How do you feel first thing . This is way, way over the top. At least, your daily cortisol ratio has come down a bit, but it is still high at 51. Have you had your levels of iron, transferrin saturation%, ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc tested. If the T3 isn't getting properly utilised at the cellular level, you can bet your bottom dollar there is a reason for this and it might be that one (or more) of these are very low in their respective reference range and your thyroid hormone will not work until what is low has been properly supplemented. If you have not read the attached document showing other causes why thyroid hormone stops working, please check it out and go through all of these by way of a process of elimination. Luv - Sheila I am going to start NAX again tomorrow. Somehow I don't think I am getting T3 into my cells. What would be my best course of action apart from NAX etc? Many thanks if you've managed to get this far and can reply. I'm 70. Cheers.. No virus found in this message. Guest guest
Hello Sheila, Yes I usually fall asleep when my head hits the pillow whatever my ASP. I keep getting up for the loo so I suppose I don't get any decent sleep but am just wondering what came first, needing to spend a penny or waking up and thinking it would be a good idea to go to the bathroom whilst I am awake. With a very high cortisol level when I get up I usually feel fine, it's the best part of the day for me. Last time I had my blood tested all my levels were super or good in the top of the range. I think the only ones I have never had done are copper, zinc and trasferrin saturation. What I really wanted to know was should I take advantage of the fact that the GP nurse says she will take a sample of blood for me to send off to Genova Labs and I could get my RT3 done. I'm going to get my TSH T4 and T3 done in a couple of weeks at the surgery and it would be good to get some blood drawn to send off to Genova for RT3 or do you think it would be a waste of time for me to do a RT3?.... > > > August 2011 > > Sample 1 ....28 (12-22) The first sample should be at its highest in a > morning to help you get through the day, but not as high as this, which is > outside the top of the reference range. > Sample 2... 5.5 (5.0 - 9.0) -This is only just above the bottom of the > reference range. > Sample 3....49.1(3.0 - 7.0)(didn't fit on the chart haha) - This is far, > far, far too high. Guest guest
Thank you Sheila, have ordered the kit, lets hope the NHS path lab doesn't do the dirty on me and leave out the T3(for the ratio). They shouldn't do as last time my TSH was suppressed and my T3 over range and the GP got hot under the collar and insisted I do another test in 3 months time. Will let you know the results also for working out the ratio..... > > Yes, I would take advantage and get your RT3 tested . let us know the > result when you get them back from Genova. > > What I really wanted to know was should I take advantage of the fact that > the GP nurse says she will take a sample of blood for me to send off to > Genova Labs and I could get my RT3 done.e > > > --- >
