Adding T3 to T4 – Can someone help me with the ratio?

Posted this yesterday, but forget to include reference ranges, so have added

these to this post.

This is on behalf of my male friend, who is seeking advice (he has joined TPA

and has tried to post, but for some reason, it's not working, so he's asked me

to post on his behalf)

He has been prescribed T3 by is doctor, but the doctor seems very unsure as to

the dosage when combining T4 with T3. He would really appreciate it if someone

could offer any advice.

I have been taking 100mcg of levothyroxine [Receptura brand] for about 5 years.

Due to poor energy, and immunity, I would like to change this to a T3/T4

combination

Can anyone advise how to make the calculation of the new dose please; and if the

T3, on NHS prescription, is OK, or if I should stick to the `filler free'

Receptura brand I take for the T4.

My Free T3 is 4.4 [4.0-6.8]

Free T4 20.5 [ 12.0-22.0]

Thy-Tsh 0.48 [0.27-4.20]

I am also taking Liposomal Testoterone gel.[Receptura]

I have also recently started to take Nutri Adrenal at 300mg per day.
