What do people do with their holiday insurance when self treating with NDT or

any other medication?

Having a disabled hubby we have learnt that insurance companies will try and

wriggle out of their commitments any way they can. In our case, we had to argue

with them for hospital treatment for my hubby when he fell (a problem with his

disability) and had a suspected broken leg. The insurers weren't going to pay

for the treatment until we managed to prove that we HAD told them about his

condition.

My reason for asking is that if anything happens and you need anesthetic, there

will be complications because of thyroid medications which will bump the

treatment cost up, not declaring it will give the insurance company an easy opt

out for paying up.

So does anyone declare the medication and what is the result?
