Hi all,

I think what Ellen meant to say (er, type) was that this is for Informational

Purposes Only and if you agree with the purpose/language of the bill, please

spring into action soon by contacting your state Senator''s office. Thanks.

Laurie

House Bill 6524

Hi all:

This is really important to do now!

Leaders in The Arc:

House Bill 6524 just passed the House of Representatives by a party

line vote of 62 - yes to 52 - no!

This bill now moves to the Senate where it reception is questionable.

I would recommend that you contact your Senators and ask them to

support HB 6524.

The following appropriations for services to individuals with

developmental disabilities are included in this billCommunity

Transitioning from State Institutions - $16 million

Decreasing Waiting List for Aging Caregivers - $15 million

Decreasing Waiting List for Transitioning Young Adults - $5 million

CILA & Day Training transportation rate increase - $18 million

CILA Nursing rate increase - $4.6 million

CILA Behavioral Health rate increase - $6 million

The Autism Program - $10 million

A .50 cent per hour increase for direct care professionals

Ask your Senators to support HB 66524

I don't know about anyone else, but when I see the moderators post something for

it. I know it's a 'FYI'.

BTW, I emailed my letter to my state Senator Kirk Dilliard. He's a big

supporter on autism related issues.
