Guest guest
Hi all: It has recently come to my attention that there is a reimbursement rate for transportation as part of the list of billable service hours from the adult Medicaid Waiver. Since we are hiring our own personal support workers and using ACES$, the way this would work, apparently, is the employer, my husband, would bill directly to DHS via a specific form, for reimbursement for all of our driving time taking Noah to his various activities and work. The benefit to us is that we would be getting reimbursed for our time but without incurring income tax on the dollars we are getting back. Is anyone actually doing this? Thanks to a very well informed Ruth Ann Sikora for the information! Thanks. Ellen
