Guest guest
Hi all: I am posting for a friend in the western suburbs who is looking for therapists to work with her adult son who has Down Syndrome. He would benefit from work with a speech therapist who works with articulation. He also needs assistance to learn to speak loud enough to be heard. He has some odd and awkward ways of expressing thoughts and feelings, so he also needs to learn different more universally understandable or acceptable ways of expressing those thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, there is a speech therapist out that way with that skill set. The young man would also benefit from work with a behavior therapist if anyone has any suggestions...especially for work on achieving more independence in self care at home. Thanks.
