One in Central IL and one in Southern IL. Please feel free to distribute these job descriptions to anyone, and any list you may feel has an interest. Thank you for assistance, Teri Steinberg Job Description – Managing the Art of Living Title:1Part time Regional Organizer Central Illinois Title: 1 Part time Regional Organizer Southern Illinois Reports to: Project Director Objective: This grant from the Illinois Council of Developmental Disabilities will train you to assist individuals to grow in their ability to make decisions and oversee their own supports, and live an inclusive life in their communities, by developing plans using self- determination to form local Microboards and Human Services Co- operatives. Key Responsibilities: · Plan and implement a marketing strategy, including advertising Information Sessions to Central or Southern Illinois. · Conduct Monthly Information Sessions throughout Central or Southern Illinois. · Conduct a PATH - Planning Alternative Tomorrows With Hope session for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. · Help form a group of people around the individual and support them in development of a Microboard or Human Service ative. · Provide training as needed to ensure they are fully informed and development objectives, purposes and achievements are met each step of the way. · Communicating with Board on an as needed basis and with Illinois staff biweekly Qualifications: Must be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be well organized, able to multi-task, problem solve, work independently and a basic understanding of the barriers that face people in the disability community. Work 20 hours a week based out of your own home. Will include travel throughout Central or Southern Illinois independently days, nights and during weekends. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point Education: Bachelors in Special Education or related field, and 2 years experience in the provision or oversight of supporting individuals with disabilities.
