running again this year.

Women Voters plan 96th District forum

The League of Women Voters of Naperville, North Central College, and

Naperville Community Television will co-sponsor a forum for the 96th

Representative District candidates for the Illinois Legislature at 7

p.m. Sept. 24 in Meiley-Swallow Hall's new Thrust Theater, 31 S.

Ellsworth St. (at Ellsworth and Van Buren Avenue).

Democrat Dianne McGuire and Republican Darlene Senger will face off

in a forum moderated and organized by the LWV of Naperville. Both

candidates are Naperville residents. District 96 includes much of

Naperville (from Diehl Road south to 11th Street, west of Washington

Street). NCTV plans live television coverage and will rebroadcast

the forum in the weeks leading up to the general election Nov. 4.

Meiley-Swallow is the old Grace Evangelical Church, at Van Buren and

Ellsworth. The newly opened Meiley-Swallow Thrust Theater has

seating for 225. Meiley-Swallow backs onto Central Park, near the

Bandshell, which features public parking spaces.

The forum is free. Candidates will be provided with general

questions two weeks prior to the debate, but attendees will also be
