Guest guest
Meant to comment on your posting about the surprise party for the staff member at your son's group home who was leaving. I believe in Karma, Liz, as silly as it may sound. I treat those who work with with kindness and thoughtfulness--and did with all my kids' caregivers when the NT were smaller as well--and show respect. The " gems " I try to do nice things for, sometimes little things mean a lot. I listen to their problems. I listen to their likes and dislikes--I always buy a " turducken " for one respite worker for Christmas--and treat them as much like a family memeber as I am able. The not-so-gems I still try to treat well. You did well. I really believe it will help your son in the long run. I do believe we reap what we sow and Karma is real. Take care, Marie
