Guest guest
Had a surprise going away pizza party for a favorite staff member today. None of the residents knew what was going on, otherwise it wouldn't have been a surprise. She did know something was up & did figure out it was probably me. We did all make it through with no tears...(in front of the residents at least.) We ARE going to be able to stay in touch & we will probably meet from time to time, so I am glad about that. I did get my son to go back for the party, so I was able to see her again interact with my son. She is SOOOO good with him. Just wish we would have cloned her. Guest guest
Hi Liz, I almost cried along with you reading your post! I'm sorry any of us (and especially the adults with disabilities) have to go thru the loss of these great staff people; the jobs they do are so valuable and important. May the act of kindness and gratitude you showed her with the going-away party come back around to you and your son. Good thoughts, Laurie The party is over.......
