Guest guest
Again, I am so impressed and inspired with/by ! does let herself into our house with her key and that has been working out very well. She hasnt lost any yet. Sometimes I'm not there to oversee her, but I have some neighbors watching out for her or she is with her reshab worker, but basically does it all on her own. It is very hard to know when and how to let go- again, this is very encouraging for us that are right behind sarah! ~ Mom to 13 DS and Diabetes Type 1 and 10 NY
Guest guest
Kathy, I am just so thrilled to hear this! Way to go ! I loved the part about you sitting in your car a couple houses away. LOL. The stuff we do! This " letting go " is the hardest thing for me to do with . I keep trying to tell myself that my insecurity may be holding him back and I need to get better at this. I am so happy for your family. Guest guest
Kathy, I know that we're lucky to have ACT here in Madison Co. & that is able to access it. It gives him at least a little bit of independence. I had been reading this thread on public transportation & debated about getting him a free pass for MCT. (It's mostly for Metrolink.) I did go ahead & do it on Friday, but only because $30 doesn't go very far every month. I know living in Millstadt you DON'T have access to almost anything, unless like you said, you do it yourself. That has got to be a bummer. I should, but I don't know how far Millstadt is from Mascoutah. Have you found out about anything that Trinity Services does? I had thought about contacting them, but then that wouldn't work for us. I may be contact in Lilia again about some concerns I have.... (depends on a meeting I have on Tuesday)Hopefully she'll be of some help to you. Happy Thanksgiving. Liz (mom to )
