PSW in need of work starting Mid Jan/Feb

Hello All,

I received word that my son was approved for a CILA home and will be moving

some time in January. For the last six months he has had a wonderful PSW working

with him. She lives in Romeoville and works in Lombard as an aid in the SASED

deaf children's program. She is proficient at sign language. For me she has been

covering mornings 6-7:15 and after school from 4-6:30 . I highly recommend her

and wondered if anyone between Lombard and Romeoville is in need of a PSW.

Thanks Ellen. It's been a long road. I have been working on this since January.

It has been quite a struggle and didn't happen in time to save my job. I was let

go on Nov. 7th. But I will now be able to have a wonderful holiday, make my

son's transition a top priority, and then work on finding a job once he has

moved so that when I start my new job I can give it my focus.

I thank this group for all its help and support as the emails and information

provided has been great. Its wonderful to have a place to ask questions. I have

also gained a ton of important knowledge, and although I worked fulltime I felt

like I was doing something by sending letters and emails to the governor and

state representatives. Sometimes when your working fulltime you feel like you

are doing nothing and your letter templates and information on who to send them

to is so helpful. I was able to ask all my friends, family, and co workers to

also send letters, make calls and send emails. It truly makes you feel like your

a part of the bigger picture. But that wouldn't happen without the information

this group provides.

I am very nervous about the transition to a CILA but we have been in crisis for

two years and I thank God everyday that we did not have any major injuries or

destruction.
