Guest guest
They should not, in my opinion. Here's why. They are dependent on staff, and thus could not testify against them without fear of retaliation. In addition, their very nature is such that their observation of an event might be more slanted than that of a typical person. They are likely to WANT staff to be right, whether or not that is consistent with reality. It is analogous to using children in school as witnesses to an event at school. Guest guest
I would say, from a professional standpoint, that other residents should not be included in any way in the incident report unless the incident involved them directly--as in if another resident either provided the antecedent or suffered the consequences of your son's actions. The fact that there are numerous incident reports--particularly if they all come from the same staff person--raises questions. If you don't already know it, your provider agency has a human rights commission. You might want to contact the person in charge of that, or at least find out who that person is, even if you don't have an official complaint.
