Unfortunately, state law mandates are never applicable to self-insureds.

However, you can use the law to advocate for your company to add this

coverage to their plan. We can also use it to advocate for a federal

mandate.

Illinois SB 394 - Austism Spectrum Disorders

This bill was signed into law and became effective today. What I'm

uncertain of is if this new legislation is binding on self-insured

companies. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
