private practice since 1977. He is also the parent of three

children, one of whom has autism. Since 1982, when his own son with

special needs was one year old, his law practice has been limited to

serving his fellow families of children and adults with special

Illinois, Department of Human Services, State-Wide Advisory Council

on Developmental Disabilities; Co-Chairman of the State of Illinois,

Department of Human Services, Autism Task Force; a member of the

State of Illinois, Department of Human Services, Division of

Developmental Disabilities, Strategic Plan Committee; a member of the

State of Illinois Disabilities Services Advisory Committee (The

State's Olmstead Committee) by appointment of the Governor; and also

by appointment of the Governor, serves as a member of the State of

Illinois, Department of Human Services, Office of Inspector General,

Quality Care Board, a seven person Board which oversees the

activities of the Department of Human Services' Office of the
