Guest guest
What about raffle tickets? They produce a huge profit. The prize doesn't have to be extravagant either. Each list member can do up their own tickets on their puters and send Kent (or other financial designee) to collect the $$. At next years picnic, do the drawing.... you need not be present to win type thing. The person who sold the ticket can deliver the prize... Guest guest
50/50 Raffles do really well--at least around here! My Project Support club has an annual 50/50 raffle--I usually require all members to sell 15 tickets, many sell 50 or more. We always make a nice profit--no less than $300 and one year we made $615. That's with only about 25-35 kids actually selling tickets. If every member could sell 15 tickets you'd have a great profit!! Just another idea! Guest guest
For those of us into online auctions...why not use Paypal to collect the money? It would be much easier than sending money via snail mail. Karla in Texas
Guest guest
If you guys are able to get tax exempt " Non-profit " status or are able to use someone else's and my company continues to provide the service... Would you be interested is " FREE DIRECTV System, Installation and Service for 1 year " as an item for the raffle? Last year I gave it to my son's Preschool and they were able to raise $2700 for the raffle with the DIRECTV system as the main prize... Let me know... after seeing all of the pictures from this years' party... I really need to put this on my calendar for next year... Will I win anything for coming all the way from California? Guest guest
I would take a cast of thousands to outgrow Kent's place. If Kent still wants us, we all still want to go there. If the crowd gets too large we'll just add a second Porta-Potty! LOL Bev Lee Family wrote: > > Outgrow Kent's place? Guest guest
this is in Selma NC. If we outgrow the Ravencroft family park, Kent said we could use the local soccer field. If we got too big for that, there is always beautiful Canaan Valley Resort (state park with good lodging) nearby. my funny for the day... TJ and Ari drove right behind Tim and I today and sometimes would pull up next to us.....until I held up a sign in the window that said " SWM 18 w/Corvette seeks SWF 50+ saggy boobs ok (then his screen name) " and another that said " Quit picking your nose " ....LOL!!!! They then stayed at least a mile behind us cindy
Guest guest
>Will I win anything >for coming all the way from California? Just our happiness at seeing you. :-) Raffling off a direct TV system could work quite well. We make up raffle tickets and folks on the list and regulars to the Suaree' sell tickets! I like it. Any other thoughts? Take Care, Kent

Guest guest
Kent, I like the raffles and maybe we can get like toys r us to donate some gift certificates or old navy or the wiz or something like that. something that is around the country. This was we can have like the grand prize and then other prizes too. Someone else also said 50/50. We just collect $$$$ all day long and the winner splits the pot with the suaree funds. Guest guest
I like the 50/50 idea too but I think tickets will sell better if there's an actual amount shown. Like we are selling raffle tickets for Deborah Heart and Lung Center's annual raffle. 1sr prize is $10,000. That's an incentive to buy tickets. Now, I wouldn't expect our prize to be that big but somehow seeing what is actually being raffled helps with sales. Also, we sell ours 1.00 each or 7 for 5.00. Maybe a 50/50 can be done at the actual picnic with all of the attendees.... Di, mom to Jake(18,nda) and 4 (DS) Pennsylvania ----- Original Message ----- From: linman42@... I love the 50/50 idea!!!
