One of the best things is Diatomaceous Earth (DE) for ticks, fleas and also works wonders as an internal parasite cleanse.

I have personally used it . 2 tbls (30ml) in a smoothie each day for 6 weeks. If you want more info just ask.

Cheers, Doug

[ ] use on skin

I would like to use this on a horse and dog for mites...or parasites. Has anyone used it topically on their dog and if so at what doseage?I also want to give it orally to one of my mini horses but since they can't vomit I'm not sure if it's safe. I would hate to see him colic because I made a poor choice. Any comments? Thanks much,Thanks,

Jim mentions in his book that horses are given MMS at the rate of 1 drop per 25 pounds of weight. You may want to write him through his web site and ask him.

If you use it topically, be sure to read the back posts on doing this. It seems that you would need to dilute it more than for drinking, put it on for one minute, then rinse it off. I believe it was Wes, though, that said he used it and left it on his skin without any negative effects. I'm sure he'll report again.

If you are thinking of using AMMS for mange, you might be better off using borax. I used that with my dog and it cleared the skin problem right up. Deodetic (sp) mange I believe it's called. Due to mites. And the borax (20 Mule Team borax laundry soap) is safe for them, even though it gets taken in via the skin. Borax is something we all can ingest in small amounts for our health benefits.

.....I didn't find any mention of horses in his book....thank you and

I'll go back and try to find that info.

......I actually did use borax with hydrogen peroxide and water but

hoped MMS would be of more benefit. I like that you don't have to

rinse it off. Did you use straight up borax or a mixture. If you

reply you can do so off group at jcstorc@...

Thanks for your input.

Here is an excellent article:

http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/defaq.html

It is also a good source for ordering DE.
