Hi Sharon,

Chlorine is essential to all kinds of critical compounds and metabolic

functions. Pure chlorine gas has serious toxic effects. However, it

is one key component in simple salt which is a necessary nutrient.

This is also true for iodine. Ask any chemist what red iodine gas

looks and smells like and he will tell you that if you survive, you

will not wish to do it again. However, like chlorine, iodine is

essential to our well being. The issue is what kind of chemical

relationship it has in various molecules and what role these molecules

play in our metabolism.

For us here, chlorine dioxide at the levels we ingest it is not only

not dangerous, it performs some wonderful oxidation of acidic molecules

and compounds. I doubt, not being a molecular biologist, that iodine

can say the same thing. But, I am willing to be shown differently.

Best,

Bob

And iodine carries a skull and crossbones warning.

What do they say about that?

Chuck

_This tagline isn't really very witty and it runs on and on and you'd

probably be much happier reading some other tagline. Most of them

aren't half as depressing as this one. Don't say I didn't warn you.
