I think it took you to http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/#-11639

which it is supposed to. You then use the interface in the top window to

navigate, and the bottom window will display the content of whatever you

choose from the " Plex "

I just went again. It took me to http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/#-

11639, and then to http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/.

I tried clicking the words on the bottom two thirds of page, but none

are linked (they didn't appear to be when my mouse was over them, so

I tried clicking them anyways, and none took me anywhere). Is it

just the top of the page that we are suppose to use, and the bottom

is a picture?

I must admit, it looked overwhelming to me. I will go check out the

top links.

When I click on the direct link you provided below it goes to the MMS

page; however, when going through the original address provided it

does not go to that page, it automatically redirects me to the page I

previously posted.

There must be a redirect problem in the html coding, or set on the

server.

There's no reason I know of that it should take you beyond

http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/#-11639 unless you typed in that URL

incorrectly, as you just did in this message, with a space after the sharp

sign. In any case, http://mmsweb.info is the link to use initially, and it is

working.

If you went to http://floatingworldweb.com/plex, the bottom pane just

shows a non-clickable map of topics. The top pane -- the Plex -- is what

you use for navigation. Note than you can adjust its size by moving the

dividing line up or down, or hide/open the plex window with the arrow in

the top left.

MMSweb.info is just a domain name that points to a section of the

overall site, which contains over 11,000 pages at present. Feel free to

wander around....

Works for me, but I'll take it up with the server, or create a page for

the redirect that doesn't contain the sharp sign, which might be making

the problem for some browser...

Hey, it's cute. But it's a journey into your mind trying to discover where the discussions are. Can't find any link that says discussion and I don't need to play cat and mouse, thankyou.

If we have to play around to find it, sorry, don't have the time. Make it easy, or forget it. Tried the Health link, nothing on MMS. Bye bye, baby.

Have a great day! Kathy

I am sorry but I have been looking at this page for several minutes

and can not even find the HEALTH GOODS link. Can you just put the

Health GOODS link up and not all the other? Thank you.

If you have been looking at the MMS page , why do you want to go to a

higher level category? In any case, HEALTH GOODS is right there among

the Parent links, which are those above the central one (MMS). The links

below are Children, and denote the subcategories.

http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/#-11639

If you need HELP understanding the navigation system, click on HELP

among the items along the top, or feel free to ask..

This navigation system is unique among interfaces, in that it is not

simply a hierachical tree like other data systems. Rather any item can

be connected to any other item as Child, Parent, or Jump, making it much

more flexible, and mirroring the way the brain actually connects data.

Any item can have multiple parents, and thus be approached from many

different routes.

OK Got it. the only way I could get your link to work and take me to

the MMS page was to type in the - and 11639 to the page your click link

took me to. Then hold my shift key and hit enter.

I think it would be much easier to just put in the regular link to that

page of:

http://www.miraclemineral.org/index.php

What is " your click link " ? http://MMSweb.info ?

The domain http://MMSweb.info is set to redirect to

http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/#-11639 , but since some people seem to

be having trouble with that, I will create an intervening page.

One thing you might try if you are having trouble is clearing your cache

and reloading the link. Do you know how to do that? If not, tell me your

OS and browser.

This is something everyone should know how to do. If something goes

wrong in accessing a page, often the wrong destination will stay in your

cache, and you will keep being sent there unless you clear the cache.

CTRL-F5 usually does it, but there are more thorough ways as well.

I don't understand what you mean. Put in where?

The whole point of this is to bring together all the online data about

MMS, not merely to provide another way of getting to Jim Humble's page.

I contacted my web hosti about the problem, and got this reply:

Discussion Notes

Support Staff Response

Dear Case,

Thank

you for contacting online support. Currently, the domain mmsweb.info is

currently forwarding to http://floatingworldweb.com/plex/#-11639

without error on our end. If people are unable to be properly forwarded

to this site, it is most likely due to their browsers being unable to

support the #-11639 section of the URL.

Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.

Regards,

Quinn C.

Online Support Representative

I'd be interested to know what browsers have been unable to access the

URL properly. Firefox on XP is fine.....

Internet Explore won't take me, but Mozilla Firefox did. Don't know

what version IE I have, I have problems with my memory and either

have to look up how to do many things I haven't done in a while or

have someone walk me through it.

I've done lot's with computers too, I use to be able to remember all

kinds of stuff, so it does bother me...but you do the best you can.

I have been on your site and I appreciate the artistic

intent of the site. But it is a little confusing to navigate.

I consider myself to be a serious researcher (just ask my husband!),

but if it takes too long to find what I am looking for I will go

elsewhere because there are so many other sites with a wealth of

information to waste on trying to navigate a confusing site.

OK, it's great to hear your explanation but it tells me nothing about

what is causing your confusion. If it is a matter of the link not

redirecting properly, I understand. If you were able to get to where

"MMS" is at the center of the plex, the subcategories seem pretty

straightforward.

If you only got to the TOPICS page, then it would not be as easy to

find your way to the MMS section. This is why I bought a domain to

point directly to it, but it seems not to be working for those souls

who have not yet realised how superior Firefox is to all the other

browsers...

Another point is that the software maker has not yet made it possible

to search the site in such a way as to go to the place in the plex

corresponding to the search results. There is an unmarked search box

in the lower left, but it only searches among nodes that you have been

on or near during the current session. I am pressing to have full

search capabilities added, but for now the site is not to be treated

as a search engine. There are enough of those around for the kind of

one-pointed research you speak of preferring. In creating it so far I

have concentrated more on finding and linking appropriately what I

consider worthwhile material. As I become aware of certain sections of

the "brain" becoming dense enough to constitute regions, I create

submaps, such as what you can find if you click on LOOK along the

top. Until that is done, if I want to suggest an area to someone, I

give the direct link to a node in that area, or create a domain name

pointing to it, e.g. http://mmsweb.info,

with the consequent problems

that have only now been brought to my attention.

I make no claim that this is intended as a research tool, but if

decent search capabilities were added, it would be more easily

recognisable as a well-chosen selection of material. Once you know

where the MMS node is, and understand the Parent/Child/Jump system, it

will be obvious that it can serve the purpose of organising and making

accessible the information that otherwise is constantly being repeated

as new people join the list and ask the same questions, especially if

people who I assume want this information readily available make

suggestions for content and interconnections.
