Guest guest
I'm posting this to several groups for the info to get out. This is largely about water, the number one health food, and a cheap way to neutralize chlorine in municipal water, but it's about more than that. I'm going to ramble and rant just a bit first...CBS news is running a special segment called " Generation Rx " tonight on the Evening News. It's all about the abuse of prescription drugs by high school and college age students/others in this country. They ran a teaser on it this morning and it focused on Adderall. I had never even heard of the stuff until our third daughter came home on Thanksgiving and talked about how many kids at UNCW are using it. They also showed how kids are stealing drugs from their parents and grandparents. Well none of our kids can do that HAHA, since there are NO Rx's in this house! For years I wondered why I had to go through all the crap I've gone through and become so bitterly anti-pharma as I am, but suddenly it struck me...This " epidemic " has not touched us; our kids come home and lament about how others are doing it. I know nearly nothing about the problem and live in near ignorant bliss about it. Then I knew why; it's because my kids have heard me RAIL against doctors and drugs for years, not to mention that they saw me descend to near extinction then come roaring back to life when I threw out my doctors and my Rx's. Along with my ranting and raving about the medical establishment, they heard me rail against municipal water. They also saw me work my butt off to keep good well water in our house when a county water line was put in years ago just 50' from the house. I might run my mouth a lot, but I put work behind my words. So, it should come as no surprise to me that our son is the one who searched this subject out on the internet because he listened to me rant about municipal water being probably the number one thing wrong with our health in the US. What does this have to do with MMS? It confirms Jim Humble's assertion that Vitamin C is anti-chlorine, that's what, and serves to tell me that Jim really has done his homework and is telling the truth. Our son and DIL live in Raleigh NC and can't get home often enough to get our good water nor could they carry and store enough of our water to live on between visits, the way that two of our daughters do. So they are using 1/8 teaspoon of L-Ascorbic Acid from the Vitamin C Foundation stirred into 3 gallons of water to neutralize the chlorine. They are using aquarium test strips to confirm. If it will kill a fish, it will kill you, it will just take longer. He had sent me some info about this a while back and it flew over my head at the time. When we got together at Thanksgiving a large part of the conversation was about our drought and water and this came up. Even then it took me a while to connect this to MMS, but I finally got enough sleep for my brain to start working again. I asked him to send me everything he has on the subject that led him to start treating his water this way, and here it all is: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1220878 http://www.fs.fed.us/eng/pubs/pdf/05231301.pdf http://sfwater.org/Files/FAQs/WQ_chlora_QA_2007-5.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehydroascorbic_acid#Physiological_significance http://pollardwater.com/pdf/pdf_web_manuals/AWWARF_Dechlor_Guides_Pollard_dm b.pdf http://www.ilikewater.com/ http://www.vita-d-chlor.com/faq.asp http://www.todayshealthyhome.com/vitashower_shower_filter.htm No, I haven't read it all myself yet. Maybe there are flaws and inconsistencies. I'm just sharing. And maybe I didn't do TOO bad at raising kids. Now I gotta quit before I knock myself over from patting my own back. Besides, I'm sending this to the kids too. (Y'all Straighten Up and FLY RIGHT!) Daddybob No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Thanks for the links, very intereesting. Looks like fish are poisioned directly because they take the chlorinated water directly into their gills. Something similar happens to humans on dyalsis machines, they take in whatever is there directly without the digestive processes. And that's why shower filters are so beneficial, as hot showers break down the cholrine into the air for the person taking the shower to breathe, thus taking it into the body directly without digestive filtration and neutralization. I found this reassuring actually, as apparently it's not as dangerous to drink as I thought it ws, just to breathe (this is my personal analysis, not specifically spelled out in the articles shown in the links). But I still would rather drink filtered water, and I can start adding powered vit. C to my tub anyway, even though I cannot readily do anything about my shower just now, which is probaly (unfortunately) my worst source of chlorine. Pool test strips show up chlorine traces in my urine, always. I think it's from the shower, as I drink almost entirely filtered water. I started on 1 drop of MMS last night, my first (properly activated). It arrived in the post yesterday. I felt energy shifts in my body, didn't sleep very deeply, it was interesting. I'm curious to see what I'll find next. Cheers, G.
