I will take a stab at this. My understanding is that we take the

oxidants to kill bacteria, viruses, etc. These actions create the

need for antioxidants. Therefore we wait for the oxidants to do there

job and wait at least four hours to take the antioxidants i.e.

Vitamin C, Vitamin E, etc. Hope someone will correct me if I am wrong

on this.
