Guest guest
Certainly a contributing factor. Others who get exposed have bodies which can better deal with/detox the other metals as they come in then don't end up with such high levels and the accompanying synergistic effects from having so many different ones. The NAET testing I've had since having my mercury fillings replaced indicated high levels of all the heavy metals we checked + aluminum (a fine metal) except gold (haven't had much exposure to gold!) I can identify my exposure to many of them, i.e. aluminum from pop cans (I had a six pack a day habit of Mtn Dew obviously toxic by looking at it!) but only liked it from cans so IMO actually addicted tothe result of the interaction of Mt Dew and aluminum, not just the Mt Dew! Silver from dental fillings and having worked in photography darkroom, cadmium from worked with screen printing inks, nickel from braces, etc. Plus the mix I received as my inheritance through the placenta... S -------------------------------------------------------------- >That's one of the tricky things about mercury...it impairs the body's ability to detox. > S Is that why these kids have high levels of so many other metals in addition to mercury? Guest guest
Hi Liz, There are so many ways to detox. Exercise, far infrared sauna, vegetable juicing, coffee enemas are just a few. In my opinion though detoxing is the heart of detoxing. The liver is the organ that cleans our blood. Sometimes when we are highly toxic the toxins can get stuck in the liver and thus keep poisoning us over and over. This theory comes from Chinese medicine and is at the heart of a therapy that my son is now receiving. If you go to the files section there's lots of great info about detoxing. Love, Anita detox where can you get fungal defense? any other suggestions for detoxing? i have been eating very well and drinking lots of water to help flush out. any other suggestions.liz

Guest guest
In my case with my rashes, it was evidence of the toxins coming out through my skin. I didn't get acne as bad as some of the women here, but I did get a rash on my breast and scalp when I fasted. My naturopath told me it was the toxins coming out through our largest eliminative organ, the skin. I continued to fast regularly periods of time until I no longer got the rashes on my breasts and scalp. It worked. Guest guest
--- So fasting helped? How long did you fast for and how frequently, can you drink while you are fasting? I havnt tried the sauna because sweating seems to make it worse. I guess it could be worse for a while if it got better. Guest guest
It definitely takes time, usually years. I have been detoxing for 4 years very heavily, two before that half heartedly. I feel fine now but I know that my liver isn’t and will always need the assistance. Don’t give up! I took Adva-Clear for two years before I felt better at all. Be careful with mushroom immune boosters if you have allergies because the immune booster can actually stimulate your allergies. I have to stay off of my mushroom booster during allergy season. I have had really good luck with SF10 this year. I had a minor virus this winter and that was it. I didn’t feel bad at all, just a bit tired with a scratchy throat. Kenda Detoxing takes time, and goes in steps. Have you tried a sauna? > > > I am breaking out just like i did after i got the implants in > and i > > am > > > now 3 weeks explant. Guest guest
Yes, fasting was one of the things that I did that I felt helped me get over my plateau in healing. I got sick in January 1998, explanted in Feb 1998. I did my first fast in Sept 1998, under a naturopath's supervision and recommendation. It was a water only fast for 3 days, which I extended to 5 because of the rash that developed. I thought the rash would just go away while I fasted, but it didn't. I did a couple more fasts with the rash appearing, but then the doctor had me move on to some other therapies (like chelation therapy). So I didn't fast for awhile. Then in October 2000, about 2 years later, I had hit a plateau in my healing. I just didn't feel like I was making much progress. Still dealing with the brain fog and fatigue. So I started fasting again, for 3 days, 5 days, even did a 10 day water only fast, and a 14 day juice only fast. I think I fasted over a period of several months, into the spring of 2001. It was after that that I began to see more improvements in my health. I was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease in August 2002. After getting on cytomel and armour thyroid, that was the final piece of the puzzle. With the treatment, my life was finally back to normal and all my symptoms were gone. So, healing took over 4 years, but I really felt that the fasting jump started it while I wasn't making any headway. I think fasting is a great detoxing therapy that can be used regularly for life. There are books about it, and some people fast one day a week, or for several days during the season changes, or whatever works for them. Of course, it has great spiritual roots as well, which I think are just as important. Best wishes for health! Guest guest
I forgot to mention that I have been off of the thyroid meds now for about a year or so, so that was the final piece of good news about my healing experiences! I should say that I haven't been tested for a long time, so I need to do that to see where I really am at. I don't feel the need for the meds anyway, but how it all looks on paper (with the lab values), I don't know. But it feels good to feel great again! Hope this encourages you. Guest guest
Hi Kendal, Yes, I drank water only for 5 days on one fast, and on another, water only for 10 days. I don't think I'll do the 10 day-er again, as it was pretty challenging. But I did it, so it can be done. It does take alot of discipline, when everyone else around you is eating. Mentally, you just have to be of a mind to know that the food will be there tomorrow, or the next day after that, or whenever. It isn't like you can never eat again, so you just wait until you decide you can eat again, and the fast is over. Breaking a fast correctly is important too, so it takes patience as well. I actually did not feel weak at all. In fact, after about the 3rd day, I felt very energized. It comes from the digestive system being freed up to work on other areas of your body, kind of like a spring cleaning of the body, and so you end up feeling lighter, bouncier, more energy filled. It is a great feeling. But yes, you do feel kinda icky for the first couple days as your body is dumping toxins out and you aren't getting fed. But it does pass, and you just have to keep your mind on other things. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hi, I need to ask a personal question. I know you didn't do this for weight loss but did you lose weight? If so how much? When you continued to eat food, did the weight go back on or stay off because you removed alot of toxins in your body? I believe that alot of people that gain weight when they have their implants are issues related to the implants and not from laying around more than normal like the doctor tried to tell me. Guest guest
hi, yes, i lost weight each time. however, things changed over the course of my fasting regarding my metabolism. whether it was from regularly fasting or my hypothyroidism, i don't know, but it became harder and harder for me to lose weight quickly like i used to. i lost about 5 to 10 lbs. i do remember getting down to 115 and i'm 5 ft 7. my normal was about 123-125. after breaking my fasts, the weight did come back on, but it was pretty slow at first. the nice thing is that my eating habits also changed...i was more willing to eat the healthier foods to 'stay clean " , so the weight gain was slow. that changed over time as well, and weight seemed to come on faster. like i said though, i am not sure if that was from my fasting or my thyroid problem. it was all after implants. i am pretty sure that alot of us have weight issues from these blasted implants. prior to implants i never had any weight concerns at all, and that was even after having 4 kids. i could eat anything i wanted whenever i wanted and i never gained weight at all. in fact i used to go on diets to gain weight as a kid. my, how things change! fasting helped with weight issues in the short term but i don't know about long term...i'm still battling an extra 15 lbs. patty > > > > > > > I am breaking out just like i did after i got the > implants > > > in > > > > > and i > > > > > > am > > > > > > > now 3 weeks explant. Guest guest
Hi Patty, I did a type of fast a few years ago, under my then ND’s supervision. She had me cut out all proteins for a couple of days prior to my fast. She then had me drink 1/2 carrot and1/2 celery juice and two times the amount of water. I remember there was a certain number of ounces per day I was to drink and it was extremely high! I fasted for two days only (because of my weight/size) and then slowly added carbs back and then finally protein. She also advised to eliminate all physical exercise and exertion and to relax to give your body time to detox and heal. The entire thing took 7 days. I felt almost like I was on drugs when I was finished, I felt better than I had ever felt in my entire life. I had forgotten all about it since it was so long ago. Guest guest
Great experience for you then, wasn't it? Fasting can be hard--it's a mental effort probably more than anything, but the great feeling afterward is definitely worth it. Guest guest
It was a great experience but it was very tough for me. I was hungry the entire time and didn’t like laying around the house, trying to relax. It was a very good thing but tough! Kenda Great experience for you then, wasn't it? Guest guest
I have a great ND in Oklahoma. He has a lot of phone patients and does believe implants cause illness. He has several implants patients, one or two from this list. Kenda > Kenda, thank you for your reply. I am on the detox protocol from Dr. > Kolb. thanks for your suggestion on what has helped you.
