Guest guest
I hate to sound neurotic but a friend of mine said that I looked yellow. A couple of days ago I thought the same thing when was combing my hair -- but then I thought I was most likely imagining this. I guess the clinical term is jaundice -- can this mean problems with liver or kidney? Also I was tested today for inclusion in the HgH research project. I will post the results when I get them. LOL Steve
Guest guest
If this looks like I am replying to myself-- NO I am not psychotic. With the political ongoings lately I understand some folks may be leaving this site. I will stay involved with this site. But for anyone who is not may I suggest http://pluto.beseen.com/boardroom/u/19629/Date I have a selfish reason for suggesting it -- I want to stay in touch with everyone here. However there are also many newly dxed folks on this site that could really benefit from the expertise that people here have. Thanks Steve
Guest guest
Hi Steve, the same happened with me (two or three times, I guess). It lasted only a day or two. I was afraid of liver problems and mentioned it to my dr. She took my blood samples but all the test were negative. I have no explanation for this but I'd like to know if anyone has similar experience. Take care Stania Re: anti-oxidants >From: " , T. Guest guest
I often have had a jaundice glow and felt pain in my right side where my liver is...not lately though. I have been doing a bit better last few months. I have heard CFS persons have sluggish livers. Have you been checked for liver problems though? I have heard CFS sluggish livers are usually subclinical & /or secondary and do not show up on the regular tests they give you.... Take care, Re: anti-oxidants >From: " , T. Guest guest
Thanks to the list for Koch and anti-oxidant info. I have been researching " maharishi amrit kalash " (http://www.ayurveda.nl/english/infomak_e.html) and it says that it is 1000 times more effective than C or E as an anti-oxidant and is full-spectrum. It contains dozens of herbs. Saul, do you suppose food-derived antioxidants such as this and things like pycnogenol are not good to use or that they would not be good long-term? J. Guest guest
Hi Lindy, ALA is sold as an anti-oxidant supplement, and is said to be a really good one. It *also* happens to chelate mercury, which is why people use it for mercury detox. This does not mean that all antioxidants chelate mercury. Just that ALA does. Your some might benefit from anti-oxidants --- but treat ALA as a " special case " and use it with the protocol for mercury chelation (every 3 hours including at night). Generally anti-oxidants are among the stuff recommended for folks who are doing chelation. hope that was clear.... not sure if I'm getting the point across best, Moria At 08:16 PM 3/11/2001 -0800, you wrote: >I just read a post stating that ALA is an >anti-oxidant, Is this the main reason for using it in >chelating?? > I am wondering, because my separated husband and I >have been taking a supplement that provides negative >hydrogen ions, for energy and breathing problems, and >is a very potent anti-oxidant...Now I wonder if this >would also be good for my son to take... Guest guest
Moria, yes, thanks very much! Guest guest
> I am wondering, because my separated husband and I > have been taking a supplement that provides negative > hydrogen ions, Ummm...... you aren't taking a supplement that provides negative hydrogen ions. You are taking a supplement that is sold with a lot of hot air.... Negative hydrogen ions - hydride ions - are a real and very well known entity in chemistry. Their existence inside you isn't compatible with most of the chemistry of life. Since you didn't die or suffer dramatic health problems (e. g. your stomach exploding) from taking the supplement, it does not contain " netagive hydrogen ions. " Andy .. .. .. .. .. Guest guest
Andy, thank you for the enlightenment...I may have misunderstood the manufacturer, or otherwise mis-quoted...it's the mercury poisoning from my amalgam filled mouth (haha)...It obviously does not contain negatively charged hydrogen ions, but whatever it does contain, it helps my husband breathe...I will have to look into it further. Again, Thanks, much appreciated! Guest guest
I am beginning to get somewhat confused about whether I should be taking MMS for my emphysema. Other advice I have found suggests taking anti-oxidants. If MMS is an oxidant, then what is one to think?
