Guest guest
Hi , Do you mean you only take 500mg of Vit C a day? Or am I misunderstanding? I know others take 10000 mg a day time released. I so want to try it, but don't know how much and will it truely help me.Thanks.. Guest guest
I think the vitamin C only works on one type of CMT because it hasn't helped my pain. But I haven'thad a cold this year. haha Cathleen in Arkansas
Guest guest
Yes, for adults, though. <I don't understand the question. Do you mean for kids or adults? Theraputic dose>
Guest guest
, you got that right. Quick update on the Vit C. I was researching a Christmas present tonight and then found myself typing a few emails to family and friends. Then I noticed that I using my pinky finger more tonight typing. First It was unbelievable that I was doing this and then is was unbelievable that I noticed. Looks like I am still headed in the right direction. So far my 4 year old (), I have noticed that she is not tripping as much or even at all and she has only woke up 1 night in 2 1/2 weeks and has had only one other day with pain in her feet and that was after a very busy day out and about. Seems like the 2 doses of 250mgs is working. I will keep you posted on progress.
Guest guest
Hi Lori, Yes, I'm the same as you, I have been taking 12,000mg of C for 2 months now. I haven't noticed any improvement at all. I won't give up yet though. I sense alot of CMT'ers have started taking C in the last few months based on what they have read on this site. Hopefully it will help some. I have worn AFOs for 9 years now and they really help. My hands have become worse in the last 2 years and writing is becoming a problem. I love typing though! I wonder has the Vitamin C depend on the type of CMT. I have type 1A. Don't worry, be happy. Bill
Guest guest
I too started taking megadoses (4000 mg per day) of C a few months ago and saw little if any reduction of my symtoms. However, two weeks ago, I started to take a time release C capsule which seems to be helping significantly at much smaller doses. 500 mg twice a day. I think that there is a lot to be said for the time release capsules. Mike
Guest guest
Reema, This is great news! Thank you so much for the update. We need to hear these things...
Guest guest
Reema, What kind of dose are you taking and what kind of C (time release or not). I have tried non time release in 2000mg doses twice a day with Vitamin E and I have noticed improvements as well.
Guest guest
Reema, How much Vitamin C do you take? Any particular brands that you can endorse?
Guest guest
The stuff I have has bioflavonoids and rose hips. I have done my own research on what is safe to take. I came to the conclusion that I needed to take as much as I could tolerate. For me it's 7 - 8000 milligrams a day.

Guest guest
, That's the stuff I thought because the plain Vitamin C wasn't time released. I just wanted to make sure I get the right one. Now how do you take it? Do you take all 7 pills at once or every few hours? And should I start taking less pills and keep uping the dose till I find out how much I can tolerate. Thank you do much for your info and time. Thanks, Tommy
Guest guest
Hi Tommy, I have taken them all at once and I have taken them a few at a time during the day. Now I just take them during the day when I remember.
Guest guest
One thing I don't understand: since lemon juice contains about the same amount of Vitamin C as Orange juice, why doesn't the vitamin C in the lemon juice neutralize the MMS as it is said to do when delivered by orange juice? http://www.naturalhub.com/natural_food_guide_fruit_vitamin_c.htm
Guest guest
You are only using a few drops of lemon juice to activate it. It is too little to affect the potency. You are not supposed to mix the AMMS with O.J. because you would be using much more of the juice. -- [ ] Vitamin C One thing I don't understand: since lemon juice contains about the same amount of Vitamin C as Orange juice, why doesn't the vitamin C in the lemon juice neutralize the MMS as it is said to do when delivered by orange juice?http://www.naturalhub.com/natural_food_guide_fruit_vitamin_c.htm

Then one can infer that it would be OK to activate it with orange juice, if the acidity were as high (pH as low) as lemon/lime juice....a fairly useless inference, I realise... ----- Original Message ---- From: Case <chris@...> Sent: Thursday, December 27, 2007 9:57:59 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Vitamin C susan wrote: You are only using a few drops of lemon juice to activate it. Guest guest
I'm getting into this conversation late but I thought I read that oj is okay but not the fortified with vitamin C you buy at the store. JH even mentioned that if you use oj to activate squeeze it from an orange that way you won't get the excess vitamin C. I would imagine lemon or lime juice do work better to activate but my guess is that as long as the oj hasn't been fortified with vitamin C it's probably okay to use.
