Guest guest
Hi Carol, I'm a big fan of sea weed. My favorite is Dulse flakes, they are dark reddish purple. I sprinkle them on eggs, potatoes, in soups, salads. The dogs get kelp granules in their food. In the salt shaker I mix seaweed, Real Salt and a no-salt organic herbal seasoning mix together. Equal parts. The garden gets kelp granules and the difference in the taste is phenomenal. Kelp is available in 50# bags from good garden supply stores. Don't eat it, it's not cleaned for consumption. The brand I get to eat is Maine Coast Sea Vegetables. www.seaveg.com Certified organic. I like to gently simmer the Alaria and strain it, and drink the tea. The kelp is placed on top of a pan of black beans as they cook, and then it turns to jelly and I stir it in. Adds flavor, minerals, and helps prevent gas from the beans.
