Sorry for cross post, need some suggestions.

My nephew is 17 mos. He had the eye drops when he was born and

subsequently had green ooze crusted eyes for a few weeks after birth. No

other eye problems until recently. In the pst few weeks to a month, he

has had 4 episodes of green oozy eyes, one episode led to his first ear

infection. His md has prescribed antibiotic eye drops each time and it

has cleared up (temporarily). My kids both experienced the same symptoms

the first time around and it cleared up in them untreated (except for

one squirt of breastmilk in the babies eye)

Anyway, their md is now saying that it is possible that he has some sort

of blockage and they should see an ophthalmologist - who will probably

want to put him under and clean out his tear ducts by inserting a wire.

My sister is totally freaked by this, wants to avoid it at all costs.

She runs one of barnes MRF clinics and is having eric treated by a

therapist, try to adjust his head and massage his eye areas etc... (mfr

is pretty much in direct conflict with chiropractic as far as

philosophy, but I did mention that she could try that) Does anyone have

any other suggestions? Anything at all?

S.
