Guest guest
I avoid the following. white sugar table salt milk and dairy red meat, processed meats, pork and ham, bacon refined flour and white bread, crackers and cereals. Preservatives, msg, glycols, high fructose corn syrup, modified corn starch, Most packaged foods. Commercial Ice creams and desserts. Restaurants. (except the occasional Thai food) Here is my recipe for an awesome apple crisp to eat instead of death defying apple pie. Apple Crisp 8 large apples (organic is best) peeled and cut into bite size pieces. 2 cups of raspberries, blueberries, raisins or cranberries. 1 cups of sucanat (an organic brown sugar) 1 cup of organic sugar (the whiter variety) (if using the cranberries, chop them in a cuisinart and add the sugar to them, let them sit overnight in the fridge, then stir into the apples) Stir all together and place in a big non-aluminum baking pan, 13x9 or larger. I use a glass lasagna pan. Place in a 325 degree oven and let bake while you make the topping. Topping 2 cups of walnuts or pecans 4 cups of oats 1/2 to 1 cup of sucanat - how sweet is your tooth? 1/2 tsp Real Salt 1 tsp vanilla 1 T cinnamon 1/4 cup olive oil Put the nuts in the cuisinart and chop until they are very very fine, then add the oats, sugar, salt and spices. Get them moving and drop the oil down the chute. Take the apples out of the oven and carefully top them with the crisp. Bake another 30 minutes to brown the topping. Guest guest
Thanks for the tips and the recipes. I rarely eat the processed type food, and especially sugar, but it was NYs, so I had a treat. My point in mentioning that about bowel distress and palpitations was to compare notes, in case anyone might notice the same. Hopefully we could reach a consensus on foods that make this less of an ordeal. Guest guest
I had some treats on NY Eve too, and boy, did I suffer! The only thing I've found is that I can't eat right after I take MMS. I do take it with fruit juice. Oh, since I started MMS, I have a hard time tolerating beans. Dried beans. Black beans just sat in my stomach for hours and I got acid reflux. Beano helped with that, and will be a part of every bean meal now on. Kathy
