Dan-

This is good to know but maybe I'm missing something. Can you expound about

the ammonia? By taking MMS are we generating ammonia through its breakdown,

in addition to the breakdown of dead germs & worms? Maybe I've been missing

this?

I sure would like to find something that helps me bounce back quicker. I am

just about to make some posts about what's been going on with me & MMS since

Christmas, but right now, yesterday was a slow day for me as I recovered

from three days of MMS taking, foregoing it last night to get my strength

back.

DB,

I believe ammonia is a nitrogen compound. The excerpt says:

" Ornithine and Arginine are two natural aminoacids that detox ammonia.

They help the body free itself of excessive nitrogen. If one eats a

protein-rich

food and supplies the body with more protein than necessary, the surplus

amino acid is then changed into energy, and its nitrogen excreted. "

" Dying parasites also release toxins that transform into excessive

ammonia,

which is a waste product the body needs to excrete. Ornithine and

Arginine

help excrete ammonia via the urine. "

That's really all I know, but thought it might be worthwhile to bring

up. Perhaps

one of the NDs, DCs, or someone with a more technical chemistry or

medical

background could comment.

When I get reactions from the MMS it seems to me that I become more

acidic,

have an acidic taste in the mouth, but there may be an ammonia component

to it...

Daddybob,

You might want to go to www.jnutra.com and in the side column, click on "neuro-toxins". In that category, he has an article about brain ammonia. Dr. Jernigan works a lot with Lyme patients and has seen the results of the neuro-toxins produced by Bb itself but also when die-off occurs.

He recommends his own formula plus something called Pale Spike Lobellia. He also mentions ornithine in that article. Others have used alpha keto glutaric acid (AKG) and pre-cursors for glutathione from www.jomarlabs.com.

I hope this helps. It's a complicated subject and something that I haven't really gotten a handle on in my own experience.

You're welcome. Please share with us what you learn or experience in

dealing with neuro-toxins.

Thanks for the info folks. L-Ornithine and L-Arginine can be bought together

in one formulation at GNC. I didn't ask why they make them together but I

figured it must be for some good reason. I bought two bottles yesterday.

I'm having trouble with my filters or I would have mentioned this sooner.Dr. uses l-ornithine and l-arginine to detox ammonia when killing parasites. A She says to take four l-ornithine at bedtime to start and keep adding until you can sleep. She says l-arginine can be taken in the am but is too energizing for nighttime. As I recall this was to remove ammonia in the brain especially as it has no mechanism in place to remove ammonia. Single use aminos for the brain, just like tryptophan, should be taken without any protein or other aminos that can compete in crossing the brain barrier. Also something sweet, like juice to help push it in.Patransley <ransley@...> wrote: Thanks for the info folks. L-Ornithine and

It's used as a workout formula to stimulate HGH (human growth hormone)

production.

It's good for you.

Chuck

How many brewers does it take to change a light bulb?

One third less than it takes to change a regular bulb.

> Hi, First post I think after lots of reading here. Thank you all.

I just wanted to add I have read that arginine, and foods high in

it, can be a mycoplasma feeder. If that's an issue.
