Hi all,

I too was concerned about the sugar in carrot juice, but was fortunate to meet Charolette Gerson this summer when she was here in the UK.

She says that the sugar is not a problem even her diabetic patients can tolerate it, in fact she believes that diabetes is often not so much a problem of insufficent insulin production but that the RECEPTOR sites are blocked with cholesterol!! some of her patients are cured of their diabetes when doing the Gerson for a completely different reason.. I do know of one case personally where this has happened. Read 'a Time to heal ' by Beata Bishop (cured of malignant melanoma 20 yrs ago and still alive and well)

One point to keep in mind is to use green apples not sweet ones.

Thank you for this response. There is so much information and much of it is conflicting.

It is always good to have more supporting information from reliable sources.

I was fairly confident with the carrot juice due to the my alternative doctor that I see agreeing

with it and he is very much against sugar.

Dr. Whitaker also recommends juicing and includes carrot juice. He too considers sugar

very bad. I get his monthly newsletter, and visit his web site at www.drwhitaker.com.

His advice has helped me through a lot even before the cancer challenges that my sister

and friend are currently faced with.

Juicing Carrots is a good thing, but I agree there is a lot of sugar in the

carrots, but I have found a source of carrot juice that has the sugar

extracted and it takes away the need for juicing, as well. The products are

juiced and then dried at a very low heat very quickly so that no enzymes are

a fact Bugs Bunny uses it and in over 50 years

he's lived at least 30x longer than other bunnies

What would we do without your sense of humor.

OK. Not sure how many of you that are in this alternative group are in HMO's

for your

conventional health care but here is one this really says it all for the

HMO's.

Hope you people still have sense of humor!

Three health care people arrived at the Pearly Gates at the same time.

St. asked the first guy what he did on earth to deserve heaven.

The guy answered that he was an alternative doctor and helped people find

non-toxic solutions to their health problems. St. said you may enter.

St. then asked the second guy. He said, I ran a health food store and

provided good clean wholesome food for people without chemicals and

additives.

St. said you may enter.

He then asked the third guy. He said, I was the director of an HMO and

helped people

get cost effective health care.

St. said you may enter. As the third guy walked by St. said

'you are only approved for a one day stay. After that you can go to h---'.
