Dan< Dan- This goes back to msg 148, but I did not elaborate there very much. He gets Sodium Chlorite solution in one jug with skin conditioners for a teat wash, and in another jug he gets an activator, which only says that it's an organic acid. In a post calf-freshening infection, the infection spread to a cow's hip and the hip flesh actually started dying. She wasn't long until she would have to be put down. He mixed the teat wash solution and injected it directly into her hip and saved her. That's all I remember now. He saved another cow by the same method, but I don't remember what the trouble was. I suspect in both cases he had used antibiotics first, saw that he was going to lose them, and had nothing to lose by injecting them with the teat wash, which of course is Chlorine Dioxide after mixing it.
