There's a post from Ringas on the Rife forum saying that Rife's mistake was in not publishing his findings, wanting to get it right and find all the answers himself before publishing ( Rife himself acknowledged he had published "very little"). So none of it is "official", just "legend" which researchers can sweep under the carpet. If he had got his microscope out to the world, they could have replicated his experiments and confirmed his results.

also mentions that R Rockwell is selling his Rife equipment (for a lot of money).
