I had the lead removed today.. My PM Dr. said that I won't be getting leads

that need to " scar " into place. He said it will be surgically attached to a

tendon and it will be more or an oar or paddle shape. He said there would be

three and it would offer much better coverage. I feel awful today and am in

an equally awful mood. I'm trying to stay to myself so as not to say

horrific things to other people. It's not working well but nobody's punched me

yet

I am okay today....a wee bit better..just a lot of pain in breathing and I

am exhausted...but I am trying my damnest to get back to the swing of

things...my mom needs my help, but I am afaid to give it to my dad ...the last

thing

he needs...a different strand of pneumonia!!!

I know all too well....with having it now for so damned long. The fact that

YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO TAKE THINGS SLOW. YOU CAN'T RUSH IT. THE RSD MAKES THE

RECOVERY TAKE LONGER. THAN USUAL. LUCKLY US!!  THE LAST THING YOUR DAD NEEDS IS

Thanks so much for your kindness and your words of encouragement!

You are so right when you say that God is the greatest physician...and I

just have to listen and bend to His will...even if it is not mine at the time.

Thanks so much for telling me I was missed...believe me, I thought of the

group so much...I surely missed the conversations with my amazing new friends

and missed the comfort of the mails. I am feeling better ...just really

tired...but I have to start fighting it or I will wind up in bed way too

much....and we all know that is when the depression monster creeps up and grabs

us....I know him all to well...the creep!

Thank you for your prayers, kind words and thoughts. Keep praying for all

our great people...it seems we all are suffering with heart breaking problems

on top of the damned chronic pain issues......you are so right there is

strength in numbers and we can certainly help each other through!!!

Thanks again for the uplifting mail and thoughts....It came when I needed it

Im also newly dx diabtic.(within last 8 months)... The ony med I

have problems with causing my sugar to go high is the Medrol pk. I

am just on 500 mg of gluaphoge(sp?)... mine stay between low of 75

to high of 300... I do get craxy #'s when my rsd if bad...how your

feeling better...

I'm not diabetic, but last year when I was having trouble with my pancreas, gall

bladder and stomach I was in such horrific pain it  that required 5

hospitalizations, within a 4 month period.. I was in the hospital a total of 8

weeks. During that time, my sugar went crazy. I usually had very low blood

sugar. I was told that pain does affect the sugar. When my dad was in the

hospital the meds he was on spiked his sugar to the point that they considered

him a diabetic and he wasn't . Drs. explained to me that between the trauma he

had and the meds he was on, it was affecting his sugar. It could be the pain you

are having or if you are on any new meds either, or both  could be causing it.

Pain and/or stress are certainly factors in medical conditions.  Both can wreak

havoc on every system in the body.  Both together can cause multiple issues. 

Those of us with the medical conditions we speak of here are victims not only of

the disease we have but in some cases the " unknown " as our diseases are not

defined in specifics, but as symptoms  that they are trying to treat.  We all

eagerly wait for a cure.
