Guest guest
- First, I do not want to be the one who misguides you pro or con root canals in any way. Having a root canal is NOT the worst thing that can ever happen to you, and now, with MMS, I feel that if a root canal does become necessary, you will at least have the tool readily available to prevent re-infection within the root canal. More later herein... To answer your question directly, I did not " apply " MMS to this tooth. I simply kept drinking activated MMS. It took 2-3 months to totally subdue that tooth, but since I have had a great many issues surrounding my use of MMS, I have developed my own very SLOW protocol for taking MMS. If I had not had to do it so slowly, maybe it would have gotten to the tooth much faster. At whatever rate, I'm tickled with the result. I have been very careful about using MMS in a skin or direct tissue contact method and cannot advise you about direct contact with the tooth or gum. Maybe others here may make suggestions. The problem with going after that tooth with ingested MMS is that you don't know what the MMS is going to work on first. It may take a while to get around to the that tooth. You have to decide if there is a direct contact way to use MMS that works for you, and you have to decide how long you can take the toothache to wait for whatever method to work. I can advise that a protocol that has worked for me several times in tooth emergencies is to use Oil of Oregano on a q-tip and swab the area, hten follow that with a swabbing of DMSO. WARNING: Overdo this and you'll think your head is on fire! 2nd caveat: You have to buy Oil of Oregano that has sufficient strength to do the job; most is diluted with Olive Oil and I suggest an oil that has at least at least 4 grams/4000 milligrams of Oil of Oregano in 30 milliliters/1 fluid ounce of Olive Oil. Ful strength Oil of Oregano should NOT be used for this. 3rd caveat: the germs adapt eventually to this protocol. It took a couple of years, but mine did. Now to the meat and bones of root canals. If a tooth has gone necrotic, you are in danger of abcess and all that entails. I would get another root canal before I would let that happen. I was actively seeking a root canal for this tooth but neither my dentist nor my endodontist could positively identify the correct tooth. Now I'm glad they couldn't find it. I have a head full of root canals and I can attest that they can and will get re-infected. The filler shrinks and leaves a gap between itself and the inside cavity of the tooth, allowing a haven for bacteria. I now think that MMS, orally or topically, can deal with this. I think this because, as Jim Humble predicted, my recent infection is gone. Now comes something that I can't prove and may never be able to prove: Can a previously infected and possibly necrotic tooth regenerate inside after infection is killed? I sure hope so. Time will probably be the tell for me. My dairy farmer friend saved a cow's infected and necrotic hip with his own version of a direct injection of activated MMS. I don't see why I can't save a l'il ol' tooth. I hope this is clear as to balance on this issue. I wish to head off the screamers that might jump in and declare that an infected tooth should be pulled and a root canal should never be done, because despite my own bias against the medical and dental establishment, I'd rather keep a real tooth anyway I can for as long as I can. Guest guest
Well, maybe I can weigh in on this subject. I had a root canal and have never had any trouble with it. But I have had a serious, 3 month long tooth/gum infection. I thought it was nerve pain actually, from a loose tooth. But I tried the MMS as a mouth rinse and brushing my teeth with it, and by the third morning (after only 2 days of rinsing/brushing) the whole pain was gone. Meaning that because the tooth was/is still loose, but zero pain in 3 months, it was actually an infection rather than "just" nerve pain. I recently started feeling the very same pain again in the same loose tooth. Probably because of it being loose there is a much greater chance of a tiny piece of food getting underneath. Anyway,--again, 2 days of MMS rinsing/brushing and the pain is totally gone. I am now starting to go ahead and do the MMS every morning as my daily routine. I would not say that MMS will stop a person from having to have a root canal, but like Daddybob says, if you do choose to have one you now have the means to keep any problems with it at bay. Guest guest
Daddybob, I have a head full of root canals and crowns too. It is frustrating to think that following the advice of a dentist has caused me to have a low grade infection in my body for YEARS. No wonder I don't feel really good for so long. MMS has helped a lot but it could take a long time to get it all gone and then like you say, the pocket is there waiting and providing a place for pathogens to live. I don't mind even a year or so of taking MMS because it has been amazing, but forever just doesn't seem a good idea. I wouldn't mind a dose a week after a year but more than that is just like the pharmas idea, namely you are on it for life. Not going to happen. I would love to get these things out of my mouth but the cost would probably be huge and I don't know if we can afford Dear husband retires in March and our income will be cut in half. I worked for a dentist and he is the one that put all these damn crowns and root canals in my head. I guess I just need to get a job at an oral surgeon's office next Best wishes for radiant health, Jill
