Now here's something I've wandered about. I used to, long ago, get white

spots on my nails that were a sign of zinc defiency. Haven't had them for

years now.

I use Desitin Ointment, the original with 40% zinc oxide, as my underarm

deodorant. Some may object to the slight odor of Cod Liver Oil, which it

does contain, but I can't smell that for very long, In any case you can buy

generic ointments with the same amount of zinc oxide but no Cod Liver Oil,

but those ointments are much more stiff.

I assume I'm getting plenty of zinc that way, transdermally. No fingernail

spots anyway.
