Vitamin C effectiveness

My experience with Vitamin C contradicts what I would theoretically subscribe to as "most" effective.

While it is frequently seen in syudies that natural whole food sources of the entire Vitamin C complex works best, but my personal experience over the last 20 years taking any and most various kinds of vitamin C has been that my old allergies, rose fever, hay fever etc all disappeared when I took the most common and cheapest Vitamin C around. Either plain Ascorbic Acid or ascorbic acid and "a sprinlke of cheap rose hips". Any Vitamin C always seems to work for me.

I am a runner and when I run very hard I start to sneeze, when I stop running.

If I then take 5,000 mg of Vitamin C every hour-a cheap brand that says it's natural but probably isn't the wneezing stops after a few hours.

The sneezing lasts much longer- for a day or two if I don't take the Vitamin C. It's rather anecdotal but for some reason Vitamin C seems to work for me with almost any brand I try.If it's not a serious disease I would experiment with one of the cheaper vitamin C formulas.

Still if I were trying to treat a serious disease state it would be better to try to get whole food natural sources. One of the best would be Cataplex AC or Cataplex ACP from Standard Process Laboratories or Null's Suprema C.
