Dear fellow stake holders,

It is with great expectations and excitement that individuals like me?must have viewed the e-mail initiative. I must thank the moderator and organisers and wish this joint fight every success.

I feel especially heartened by some of the recent most developments witnessed in this struggle, notably the inclusion of HIV/AIDS in election manifestos of many political parties in Manipur and the Delhi High Court's first ever judgement in favour of an AIDS victim ordering the Union Government to?to pay pension to Border Security Force jawan who was dismissed from service when he was found to be suffering from the deadly disease.Of special encouragement?remain the retrospective effect of these orders and the hon. courts' observation: "Unfortunately there still remains a severe social stigma against persons suffering from HIV".

Though one swallow does not make a summer, it is a long drawn fight, but there are signs of a changed wind blowing over India providing new encouragement to this fight.

Godspeed.

Amrik
