Guest guest
STICK with spirulina. Chlorella often contains mercury in and of itself, and it does NOT chelate, contrary to misinformed popular opinion. It is a sulfur food, so it can move mercury around causing more problems, but it will NOT chelate.(Those who are not very ill, sometimes can't tell that it is doing damage....)In order to chelate you need to have at least two thiols to grab onto the heavy metals.....and then you should follow a frequent dosing campaign, or you are only asking for trouble. ~ingaOn Mar 5, 2008, at 8:38 PM, Avril wrote:Hi Kathy,I just finished a bottle of Earthrise spirulina. I really like the taste of it. I was going to buy some chlorella because I understand that it is a much better chelator than spirulina. If you have information otherwise, I'll stick with spirulina. Thanks, AvrilIn , "Kathy Wenger" <katmakiah@...> wrote:.
Guest guest
i just buy both cracked cell chlorella and spirulina a pound at a time, cheap chinese from ebay, mix them 50/50 into OO caps and eat 4/day plus add the mix to vege smoothie/sludge. maybe it'll help me, maybe it'll ruin me worse... > -----Original Message----- > Chlorella grown in fresh water is better...No, it should be grown in > sea water. Guest guest
....i just recently read (somewhere?) that chlorella specifically picks up mercury and dumps it right out the poop chute. probably someone posting on some list. RE: [ ] Re: Chlorella, Spirulina I have heard very mixed reports on chlorella. It seems if your load of mercury is very high it can do more damage by picking it up and dropping it in various parts of the body. Andy Cutler (an expert on chelation) does not recommend it. But I think for people who have lesser amounts of heavy metals and you use a lot of it, it seems to be helpful. Remember everyone is unique in their physiology and toxicology and different things work for different people.
