Well I have

had an incredible response to my postings, this seems to be a very active group

who are genuinely interested in all aspects of this disease.

In reply to

JR’s question about my product, it is TBL-12, and the article featured at http://www.aegis.com/news/bw/1998/BW980206.html

relates to this product and a study that was conduced in Melbourne Australia

with AIDS patients. It is not my page, but it is about my product ( you will note

the reference to my name throughout the article), and the cost is listed there

at around US$100.00 per week. This I might add, is a research cost, not a

retail cost.

An interesting thing about the cost of

Natural products, everyone gets very upset because they seem so expensive, but

as a manufacturer, registered with the Australian Therapeutic Goods

Administration (Australia’s version of the FDA), I can assure you that most (I

admit not all) Natural Product manufactures have much smaller profit margines

then the major Pharmaceutical manufactures. Pharmaceutical Companies justify

their massive mark-ups because of high research costs etc, but generally, their

mark-ups are several thousand percent. It is also interesting to note that the

Pharmaceutical Companies are among the richest group of companies on the face

of the earth.

A Pharmaceutical Company basically mixes

chemical ingredients to get a product (it is a little more complex than this, but

this is the general idea), while Natural Manufacturers must assure quality

control over living plants and/or animal matter, a much more complex and

difficult process.

Having been

involved in serval studies with my product, the other thing I find interesting

is the high cost of such studies. The figure of $10,000.00 per month per

patient is not unreasonable, unless of course you are the one paying it. This

is one of the major reasons most natural products are not tested and registered

by the Health Authorities. They simply can’t afford it.

The

interesting thing about natural products is that rarely is a new one invented,

generally they are Traditional Remedies, which is also were most of the

Pharmaceutical Companies get their ideas from. Pharmaceutical Companies

synthesize the old remedies (like the Foxglove – Digitalis) to make the product

easier and cheaper to produce. The dangers with synthetic products are

side-affects.

It is an

interesting industry, but it makes you wonder if we are on the right track. We

look around and see an increase in most diseases, and little real advances in

the medical world. We hear about all these great break-throughs on the horizon,

just a couple of years away, but they never seem to get here. The

Pharmaceutical Companies aren’t developing many new products, just re-vamping

old ones, like AZT. This product failed its original usage (it was developed

for leukaemia, I think), wasn’t Burrows-Welcome lucky AIDS came along. AZT

failed here as well, but their marketing machine was working better.

Well, my aim

was not to rubbish anyone or any company, but just to say it is great to see a

group like you have working together, talking and asking questions. No one

product will cure the world of Cancer, and no Pharmaceutical Company will

either. But what you are doing, will help people through their problems, it is

a shame you can’t get more people involved as I believe there are a lot of

people out there who need the support and hope your group offers. I have helped

many people with Cancer, AIDS and a variety of other conditions over the years,

and the most important factor in their treatment has always been their will and

determination to beat the disease. With out this, there is nothing that will

save them, your group helps them by showing them success and the letting them

know there are people out there genuinely trying to help them.

Keep up the

good work, and I look forward to being a part of your group.

Best regards,

Sam Grant
