I had it too, 20 yrs ago. I worked out what that mess was on the inner corner of my eyebrow, and, as I happened to have Rhus Tox in the house, started taking that while I got an appointment with my homeopath. Using the Interro computer program he confirmed it was shingles, and gave me the very specific remedy indicated, herpes zoster. It was gone in two weeks, whereas some people have had their eyes damaged by shingles when it appeared there. For some years afterwards I got a scab forming on the site once a year or so which, if I scratched it, would bleed. Then that also stopped.

My Grandfather had shingles 20 years ago I gave him Arsenicum 30x this was the only thing that got him out of pain. The pain medication did not touch the pain. I remember it well...I drove an hour to get to him...and he was screaming in pain till I got there..gave him about three doses...one every 10 min.

Mezereum is another homeopathic remedy that helps a lot of herpes cases. I think

weeks is a long time for a case to be resolved myself. I have been able to clear

them in 2

to 4 days. Lets not forget Lysine, in an acute breakout it can take upwards of

6 to 10

grams a day but I have seen that work nicely, too.
