Discrediting Alternative Cancer Therapies-Poly MVA, Antineoplastons,Diet

The message from Al Musella, citing the American Cancer Society publication of a book on Alternative Medicine for Cancer shows the sad depths to which medical advocates have sunk in their battle against the more widespead use of more benign natural alternatives to the highly profitable but dangerous treatments presently "approved" by the Cancer establishment.

To say that these treatments are not scientificall PROVEN is just plain incorrect.

The scientific/medical data has already been accumulated usually published in peer reviewed journals and available to anyone who really wants to read it and analyze it.

At one time many years ago this may not have been so. The American Cancer Society in their long running battle to discredit all therapies competing with Chemotherapy,Radiation and Surgery has maintained that the therapies were UNPROVEN, which served as the kiss of death to very reasonable and effective theraspies.

Way back in 1946 Dr.Max Gerson proposed a strict dietary approach dependent on consumption of large quantities of fresh squeezed organic juices made from carrots, apples and some other fresh vegetables plus some other methods of detoxification including coffee enemas(which by the way was still included in the Merck Manual as late as 1977 when it was removed).

The American Cancer Society ridiculed Dr.Gerson and his "strange" therapy and said diet had NO relation to a serious disease like cancer. Forty years later the medical and scientific was filled with the benefits of fresh whole fruits and vegetables for prevention and treatment of cancer. But of course there was no apology to Dr. Max Gerson and the thousands of patients who were steered away from relying on an effective cancer prevention and treatment modality.

No they had more important things to do like discrediting the work of Dr.Stanislaw Burzynski who has had the best results treating Brain Cancer in his FDA approved clinical trials than any other presently approved therapy. Now they are discrediting poly MVA for the simple rason that they can't make a fortune off it and if too many people start using it the market for Cancer Drugs will dry up and new research will come to a halt.

There is something terribly wrong with the current regulatory approval mechanism. You must be able to spend almost a Million dollars to get your fdrug approved by FDA. Only big established drug companies can make this large investment. Scientific validity and evidence based medical resutls are not sufficient to get FDA approval. The largest contributors to both political parties are the big Drug Companies. They have come to an agreement with both parties that if they win they will appoint an FDA commissioner who will make sure that nobody is allowed to break this oligopoly on approved prescription drugs.

This is the reason Dr.Burzynski and the inventors of PolyMVA are being given such a hard time. Today the House Subcommittee on Health & Environment will hold a hearing on "Securing Health of the American People" in which Navarro, a 5 year old medullablastoma patint's father will appear in support of HR-3677 The Navarro Cancer Patient's Rights Act to curb the FDA from putting an arbitrary clinical hold on one of Dr.Burzynski's clinical trials on the sole basis that they feel another dangerous chemotherapy drug is more apptopriate for him. This flies in the face of the experience of EVERY child who has been forced to take these conventional chemotherapy drugs that impair future mental functioning decrease IQ substanyially, impair motor function irreparably etc.

Nevertheless Dr.Jane Henney,Commissioner of FDA said on C-SPAN to a nationa TV audience on April 10,2000 when asked by Mr.Navarro why FDA would not allow him to use a non-toxic therapy, Dr.Burzynski's antineoplastons. According to the transcript" ...as an oncologist, I uh believe that, uh while I'm not in your shoes... the kind of therapy that is being offered in traditional[conventional] settings, uh that has , uh a proven efficacy is uh, what uh, the physicians that you saw in Arizona and in over at M.D. in Houston and many,uh oncologists who treat this disease in this country would be recommending to you." Every Pediatric case has resulted in serious brain damage at this tender age.

This is the kind of regulation the American Cancer Society and their supporters want to entrench in America. They even have the nerve to try and convince patients suffering from brain cancers. It is disgusting.
