Guest guest
Dear List I am a lurker in the background, who is trying to get as much information about curing cancer as possible in order to help a loved one. And I got a lot of information, which I am very thankful for. Often I wonder, why there is so much aggressiveness just on the cures for cancer list (have never met a group with so many aggressive reactions like this one) .... maybe it has to do with the severeness of the illness. I also ask all of the religious and God loving members not to fall into a scapegoat mentality. It is never good when almost a whole group stands up against one person .... that often has led to much harm in history JR is not the villain as you make him look like here (no one is), and please do not forget that he has to deal with cancer too, so all are sitting in the same boat. Just my 2 cents, and English is not my mother tongue .... Health and friendship to you all nne S.
Guest guest
nne - I often think that the medications, and constantly changing our diets, and adding new things to our daily routine, etc., in the attempt to beat cancer, can play havoc with our emotions. I know that I am not always sane!! Kathy
Guest guest
hi, i'm new to the list, and after reading these posts, wanted to write a bit about an alternative therapy which i'm using which clears up the almost inevitable anger which is stored in and stagnating the liver by people with cancer. (not just my opinion) it's a traditional chinese medicine (TCM) called qigong (sometimes spelled chikung), a 1000's year old tradition of energy-work and exercises which uses sounds (kindof like chanting or mantras) which you vibrate in the various organs (you are given a prescription, which consists of the exercises and sounds). i am using many other therapies, but this is the BIG ONE which is curing me of colo-rectal cancer. qigong goes DEEP- to the emotional level. anger is just ONE of the emotions it addresses. the liver is the storehouse for anger. i have been thru INTENSE releases of old anger that i never consciously knew i was holding onto. now i feel FREE of that anger. i've forgiven and moved on. (now we're dealing with the colon, which has all kinds of good stuff stored there for me to deal with). my doctor's website is at http:/www.qigongmedicine.com/ where he lists qigong doctors all over the country. i realize this isn't for everyone, but thought it might help someone... :•) -dianna (getting happier all the time) On Fri, 01 September 2000, " Skye Chambers " wrote: > > > > nne S. wrote: > > Dear List > > Often I wonder, why there is so much aggressiveness just on the > cures for cancer > list (have never met a group with so many aggressive reactions > like this > one) .... maybe it has to do with the severeness of the illness. > > Health and friendship to you all > > nne S. > > > > > I've often wondered the same thing. Guest guest
Hi dianna! I think this sounds very interesting! A few weeks ago on television they had a man who learned how to play the harp, he realized that it helped him to get better form a disease that he had. As time went on he taught people who were ill how to play the harp and everyone of them got better. He thought it was because the harp rested against the person playing it, and the tones and vibrations from the music created a positive response in the body, which created a healing . The old saying is; " if it isn't broke don't fix it " , holds true to many things that have been used for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Just like Feng Suay ( not sure of spelling ) which creates a more balanced eviroment by how furniture is placed in a room, Very large companies have used it and said their employees were more relaxed, and more producitve, because of this the comapny made higher profits . I am going to check the site out, thanks dianna! Guest guest
IMO, Skye is correct in her post below. It appears that more active moderation is needed on this list. I have to delete half of the posts because they relate to an ongoing argument that a couple of list members, or more, are engaged in, that has nothing to do with the subject matter of this list. When the argument is interspersed with important information and I read it to get the content I need, I usually walk away with a knot in my stomach from the negativity in the post - not exactly what I need while trying to heal! I also agree that religion should be kept off the list. I discuss spiritual topics on other lists, which is where they belong. Nothing wrong with saying " God Bless You " or something of that order, but constant references to the bible, for instance, don't pertain to people of other religions who must feel like Christianity is being jammed down their throats. Thanks for reading, Kathy In a message dated 8/31/00 11:13:25 PM Eastern Daylight Time, skyechambers@... writes: > I'm on another cancercare list for leukemia (1800 members) and > every now and then a mild flare up will begin to happen, but the > moderator (Granny Barb) jumps in and stops it immediately, so it > may just be a matter of diligent moderating. Health and friendship to you all nne S. I've often wondered the same thing. Cancer seems to make some people very depressed and lash out at others, especially those who think they are fine and even fancy themselves as a barrel of laughs. Denial seems makes them even more hurtful. I'm on another cancercare list for leukemia (1800 members) and every now and then a mild flare up will begin to happen, but the moderator (Granny Barb) jumps in and stops it immediately, so it may just be a matter of diligent moderating. Its a delight to be on that list, (though i'd rather not have leukemia at all) there is so much love and consideration for each other and many physical friendships have been made. Granny Barb keeps us focused on the purpose of the list, sharing hiccups, milestones and most of all, our hearts. On that list religion (which is such a sensitive topic to human beings) is not allowed to be discussed out of respect for each others differences and the flareups they cause. Hang in there Miz Judy, i love your spontaneous way of writing, nobody writes perfectly here and i bet nobody speaks perfectly either, its more important to 'just get it out'. Guest guest
The harp! Very interesting! In the Bible, had play the harp to calm him down and take away his illness . I 16:14 thru 16:23. An evil spirt, and once played the harp, Saul was refreshed and was well and the evil spirit departed from him. There must be something to this!! Thanks for sharing! Sincerely, McEwen
