Why Going Raw Cures Cancer, and what else can be done...

Cancer is one of the biggest chronic debilitating diseases of ourTime. It has killed more members of my family than any other singleCause. Of the twenty four relatives that I grew up with only four ofUs are still alive. And all of us still living have switched to aPlant based or what is commonly referred to as a vegetarian diet. MyFather who is 85 and my brother Mike are raw vegans like myself.

What I'm going to say next might even be against the law. There isNot only a cure for cancer but there is also a way to prevent cancerFrom taking over a healthy body. The cure is called the immuneSystem.

Right now there is no preventative cancer treatment program in placeThat is accepted by the FDA or AMA. It is a widely held belief thatWe are supposed to reach the age forty or fifty years and then getCancer. This is just a condition of life. There are programs inPlace for the early detection of cancer. There are volumes of booksWritten about the different types of surgeries, and drugs and ChemoRadiation therapies, a lot of which are very expensive and in someCases do more harm than good.

About two years ago my father went downTo Texas and guided my brother onto a raw vegan diet. He is nowTotally cancer free. He is also drug free in that he is taking noMedication for his cancer. And he has gone back not only racing butActually winning bicycle races on a Pro Level. He rode with LanceArmstrong from LA to Washington DC in eight days. He has an amazingStory. Below you will find an overview of why Mike's cancer responded to theRaw vegan switch in diet that he was able to change over to.

1. Every person has cancer cells in his or her body. These cancerCells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multipliedTo a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are noMore cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means theTests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have notReached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells reach a detectable level 6 to 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will beDestroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multipleNutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic,Environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet toA raw plant based diet will strengthen the immune system by giving itThe building blocks it needs.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cellsAnd also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow,Gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage to liver,Kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation, while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars andDamages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduceTumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do notResult in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy andRadiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, thenThe person can succumb to various kinds of infections andComplications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate andBecome resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also causeCancer cells to spread to other sites.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

A. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off oneImportant food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes likeNutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc. Are made with Aspartame and it isVery harmful.

B. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in theGastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus.

C. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet isAcidic. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones andParasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

D. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds,nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkalineenvironment. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that areeasily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes tonourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymesfor building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (mostvegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3times a day. Enzymes are destroyed ! at temperatures of 104 degrees F(40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Greentea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties.Water - best to drink spring water, or filtered/purified water to avoid known toxinsand heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot ofdigestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomeputrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refrainingfrom or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the proteinwalls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroythe cancer cells.

14. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive andpositive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger,unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidicenvironment.

15. Cancer cells can not thrive in an oxygenated environment.Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down tothe cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed todestroy cancer cells

Below you will find research that I have done on why it is totallyimperative that we not only switch to an organic diet but also start tobuild organic houses that don't leach toxins into our living space.Because after a period of years it totally takes its toll on ourbodies.

One in eight women in the United States will develop breast canceraccording to the latest statistics. Breast cancer rates in the U.S.are 3-7 times higher than those in Asia. This 2005 study conducted atthe US Army Institute of Surgical Research and Texas Tech UniversityHealth Science Center in Lubbock Texas found that cancerous humanbreast tissue contained the chemical heptachlor epoxide (found in thecommon home pesticide chlordane) at levels 4 times higher thannon-cancerous breast tissue. Chlordane was the primary termiteprevention pesticide used in over 30 million U.S. homes between themid 1950's and 1988. An estimated 50 million U.S. residents arecurrently exposed to the volatization of this chemical from previouslytreated pre-1989 homes on a daily basis. 100 gallons of chemical pesticides are soaked into the soil per 1000square feet of home area prior to pouring of concrete foundation.Research now shows these chemicals enter into the home years later andare breathed continuously by home occupants.

NEVER EAT NON-ORGANIC FOOD

Approximately 75% of all produce tested positive for various pesticideresidues. Over 19% of commercial lettuce from major grocery storechains contained the pesticide DDT or DDE - Although researchsuggests these levels can affect humans, the EPA does not currentlyrequire chemical companies to test their chemicals for immune systemdamage or subtle neurological harm.

Neuroblastoma Linked to Homes Treated with Pesticides

One of the largest studies to date has found that pesticide use aroundthe home can more than double the chance of a child developingneuroblastoma.

Neuroblastoma accounts for approximately 10% of all childhood tumors.There are 550 new cases in the United States each year, with an annualincidence rate of 9.2 cases per million children under 15 years ofage. This works out to approximately 1 per 100,000 children under age15 on a national level. (These rates were reported in the book"Principles and Practice of Pediatric Oncology, Lippincott-Raven,1997). It is a very serious cancer as approximately 60% of childrenover age 1 who develop neuroblastoma do not live 3 years even whenreceiving treatments of radiation and chemotherapy. Children underage 1 have a more positive prognosis. As statistics show thatneuroblastoma rates have increased over the past 50 years, it isreasonable to assume environmental factors may be involved.

One of the largest collaborative efforts among 7 Universities andmedical facilities worked together to determine what extent pesticideuse in the home could increase child neuroblastoma rates. 390neuroblastoma children and 460 non-cancer controls were included inthe study. Investigators questioned both parents regarding use ofpesticides in and around the home.

Results showed that using pesticides in and around the home resultedin a 60% increased likelihood of children developing the disease (OddsRatio=1.6). Looking at pesticide use for the lawn and garden onlyresulted in an increased risk of 120% (Odds Ratio=2.2) when the motherhad applied pesticides in the yard and 50% higher (Odds Ratio=1.5)when the father had applied pesticides in the yard. (Chem-Tox Note:Outdoor pesticides are much different from indoor pesticides as theyinclude fungicides and herbicides some of which have been reported tocontain dioxin).

Thousands and thousands of acres in the United States are beingsprayed annually with nearly 50 million pounds of Roundup, abroad-spectrum herbicide designed to kill any plant it hits, unlessthe plant has been genetically altered to tolerate the chemical.Roundup has accounted for half of Monsanto's corporate profits inrecent years. Now the company has expanded its Roundup market bygenetically engineering "Roundup Ready" soybeans, corn, and othercrops. Monsanto's advertising campaigns have convinced many peoplethat Roundup is safe, but the facts simply do not support thatconclusion. Independent scientific studies have shown that Roundup istoxic to earthworms, beneficial insects, birds and mammals. Plus itdestroys the vegetation on which they depend for food and shelter.And although Monsanto claims that Roundup breaks down into harmlesssubstances, it has been found to be extremely persistent, with residueabsorbed by subsequent crops over a year after application. Roundupshows adverse effects in all standard categories of toxicologicaltesting, including medium-term toxicity, long-term toxicity, geneticdamage, effects on reproduction, and carcinogenicity. Here is some ofthe research that demonstrates the ways that Roundup's activeingredient, glyphosate, adversely affects plants and animals:

A recent study by eminent oncologists Dr. Lennart Hardell and Dr.Mikael sson of Sweden [1], has revealed clear links between one ofthe world's biggest selling herbicide, glyphosate, to non-Hodgkin'slymphoma, a form of cancer. In the study published in the 15 March1999 Journal of American Cancer Society, the researchers also maintainthat exposure to glyphosate 'yielded increased risks for NHL.'

Theystress that with the rapidly increasing use of glyphosate since thetime the study was carried out, 'glyphosate deserves furtherepidemiological studies.' Glyphosate, commonly known as Roundup, isthe world's most widely used herbicide. It is estimated that for 1998,over a 112,000 tonnes of glyphosate was used world-wide. Itindiscriminately kills off a wide variety of weeds after applicationand is primarily used to control annual and perennial plants.

71% ofgenetically engineered crops planted in 1998 are designed to beresistant to herbicides such as glyphosate, marketed by Monsanto asRoundup. Companies developing herbicide resistant crops are alsoincreasing their production capacity for the herbicides such asglyphosate, and also requesting permits for higher residues of thesechemicals in genetically engineered food. For example, Monsanto havealready received permits for a threefold increase in herbicideresidues on genetically engineered soybeans in Europe and the U.S., upfrom 6 parts per million (PPM) to 20 PPM.

According to Sadhbh O'Neill of Genetic Concern, 'this study reinforces concerns byenvironmentalists and health professionals that far from reducingherbicide use, glyphosate resistant crops may result in increasedresidues to which we as consumers will be exposed in our food.''Increased residues of glyphosate and its metabolites are already onsale via genetically engineered soya, common in processed foods.However no studies of the effects of GE soya sprayed with Roundup onhealth have been carried out either on animals or humans to date,' shecontinued. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)statistics from 1997 show that expanded plantings of Roundup Readysoybeans (i.e. soybeans genetically engineered to be tolerant to theherbicide) resulted in a 72% increase in the use of glyphosate.

According to the Pesticides Action Network, scientists estimate thatplants genetically engineered to be herbicide resistant will actuallytriple the amount of herbicides used. Farmers, knowing that their cropcan tolerate or resist being killed off by the herbicides, will tendto use them more liberally.

O' Neill concluded: 'The EPA whenauthorizing Monsanto's field trials for Roundup-ready sugar beet didnot consider the issue of glyphosate. They considered this to be theremit of the Pesticides Control Service of the Department ofAgriculture. Thus nobody has included the effects of increasing theuse of glyphosate in the risk/benefit analysis carried out. It is yetanother example of how regulatory authorities supposedly protectingpublic health have failed to implement the 'precautionary principle'with respect to GMOs.'

The findings are based on apopulation-based case-control study conducted in Sweden between 1987 -1990.

The necessary data was ascertained by a series of comprehensivequestionnaires and follow-up telephone interviews. Dr. Hardell and Dr.sson found that 'exposure to herbicides and fungicides resulted insignificantly increased risks for NHL'. [2] Lymphoma is a form ofcancer that afflicts the lymphatic system. It can occur at virtuallyany part of the body but the initial symptoms are usually seen asswellings around the lymph nodes at the base of the neck. There arebasically two main kinds of lymphoma, i.e. Hodgkin's disease andnon-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The incidence of NHL has increased rapidly inmost Western countries over the last few decades. According to theAmerican Cancer Society, there has been an alarming 80% increase inincidences of NHL since the early 1970's.
