Guest guest
--- [ORMUS] concerning flouride in Himalayan salt Date: Mon, 04 Feb 2008 16:35:36 -0000 From: Sam <dudehorner@...> Reply- ORMUS ORMUS *** Regarding the "article" about the "dangers" of Himalayan Salt and it containing fluoride and so on: This article was posted 4 years ago. It has come up before on this board and I guess a special post about in the link section is warranted as it can come up again. Here's the true data: The article is incorrect and passes along patently false information. The fact that the fluoride information site passes it along is unfortunate. It seems to advocate for fluoride information, and information for parents, so appears to be sincere, however, given how false the info is regarding Himalayan salt has cause us to have great suspicions. It smacks of processed salt vested interests trying to discredit the rising use of this premier natural salt - in other words, a "planted authoritative" article. You notice it has not been taken up or forwarded by any serious health media. Just a few of the blatant errors: An obvious attempt is made to discredit Ferreira, the biophysicist, when it is he along with medical doctor, Dr. Barbara Hendel, MD, who wrote the book on Himalayan salt, "Water & Salt". Not only do they not know a biophysicist, they do not know elementary biophysics itself. Not only is Himalayan salt subject to independent assay as to content, but samples are all over of it being compared under electron microscopes to processed salt and the inherent crystalline structure is strikingly different. As is the energy aspects of it. And no, you're not going to get the distinctive rock "crystals" off a "road" in pakistan(!) As regards the "fluoride" content, this is the most elementary and gross error, as the whole premise of the alarmist article, hangs its hat on this. The discrediting is lame and transparent periphery to this. The fluoride in the natural salt is a wholly natural form of fluoride that is actually beneficial to the body. (Calcium Fluoride, not Sodium Fluoride, the toxic form) Just as the other ionic minerals, including cadmium, aluminum, etc. are. Yes, these elemental traces minerals are actually needed by the body as part of the 84 essential minerals the body requires for optimum health. These are found in all natural salt, such as RealSalt, Sea Salt, Celtic Saalt, and so on, and even quality natural mineral supps (Concentrace, etc.) and are the forms actually found naturally in the human body.. Those who assert these are the same as altered industrial, toxic metals, do not have a clue as to what they are talking about. Below is an excerpt from Ed Leach's newsletter which sums it up well. Moreover, you will recall I've posted here previously about a formal study that was done in Austria, using internationally accepted controls, comparing Himalayan salt to processed salt. The results were significant in terms of improved health for those on the Himalayan versus those on regular processed salt. The fact there appears this singular, inaccurate dismissal of Himalayan salt then should not be a surprise. The Hunzas who are among the world's longest-lived and disease-free people, have traditionally used this salt daily. In fact, they traditionally consume cups of tea during the day in which they put a chunk of the salt, so one can imagine how many grams per day of this premier salt they consume. When they began to use westernized processed salt, a decline in health could be seen. Lastly, there is our own empirical evidence and experience. I used Himalayan salt profusely throughout my own recovery and have seen others now do so. I used both the salt tabs and the natural salt, as indicted in my eBook, but became more a user of the Himalayan salt as time went on by personal preference and continue to use regularly to this day with great benefit, as has others. Onward & upward, Marc >From Ed Leach of American BlueGreen, LLC "First let's look at fluoride in regards to our drinking water. For instance, some individuals mistakenly use the term "artificial fluoridation" to imply that the process of water fluoridation is unnatural and that it delivers a foreign substance into a water supply when, in fact, all water sources contain some fluoride. Natural fluoride, as such, is never added to the water, only silicofluorides (hazardous wastes containing many toxic pollutants) are used to artificially fluoridate water. Silicofluorides never occur naturally in nature, and they are 85 times more toxic than natural occurring calcium fluoride, found in most water sources. Therefore, the effect on the entire body will be different. "Calcium is a well-known antidote for fluoride poisoning. When an antidote accompanies a poison, it makes the poison far less toxic to the body. "The claim that fluoridation is one of 'nature's experiments' is not valid because the salts put into the water supply, sodium fluoride or silicofluorides, are industrial by-products never found in natural water or in organisms. They are, furthermore, notoriously toxic, sufficiently so to be used as rat poison or insecticide. Calcium fluoride, on the other hand, which is the form commonly found naturally occuring in water, is not toxic enough for such uses." (Dr. C. G. Dobbs, (Ph.D., A.R.C.S.) Bangor, Wales, England). "If we look at the "chemical" composition of The Original Himalayan Crystal Salt (HCS), we find naturally occurring fluoride in the amount of less than 0.1 g/kg. Natural calcium is also present in the amount of 4.05 g/kg. In fact, chemical analysis (again, material analysis) will confirm the presence of each and every naturally occurring element in the OHCS, including arsenic, uranium, plutonium, mercury, gold, and dozens most of us have never heard of, exactly as found in our human bloodstream. "Recently, we were told by an independent researcher that our salt contained the element promethium, rarely found on Earth. Its presence in our HCS was an important discovery as promethium is only found in infants in the first three to four months after birth and is directly linked to the development of the body's immune system. Personally, I had never heard of promethium but I'm happy it's in the salt. "Besides the hundreds, if not thousands of anecdotal stories told by those who have benefited greatly from its use, and continue to each day, we can also point to science for a perspective. In 2003, there was a comprehensive research study undertaken by the Inter-University of Graz, Austria, a medical university. The study demonstrated the positive effects of the HCS on a myriad of body functions.. Patients saw significant changes in respiratory, circulatory, organ, connective tissue and nervous system functions. Patients also reported increases in the quality of sleep, energy, and concentration levels, brain activity, weight loss, enhanced consciousness and noticeable hair and nail growth. Though not quantifiable, these claims are nonetheless intriguing." <*> Share your experiences with various ORMUS products at: http://www.pleiadian.org/products/ <*> Join local ORMUS forums at: http://www.subtleenergies.com/ormus/tw/forums.htm
