Guest guest
This has been placed in the workshops file in case you need to refer back to the flyer... Ellen FACT or FICTION? Your Child with an IEP does not need a Transition Plan if he/she is going on to college. Employment planning is exclusively for students who will be working after high school. Only students with the most severe disabilities are eligible for a Transition Plan. A Transition Plan should begin junior year or age 16, whichever comes rst. V i s i o n s EFFECTIVE TRANS ITION PLANNING FOR PARENTS Visions will provide a basic, yet comprehensive overview of what every parent of a student, age 14 1/2 and older with an IEP, needs to know about Transition Planning. Transition Planning is a process designed to identify student goals for life after high school (school, work, or both) and steps necessary to meet those goals. Guest guest
Hi all, Does anyone know how this Transition workshop compares with the Next Steps Transition Series being offered at COD in April and May? My child will be turning 14 soon, so we will be starting the transition process. I'm looking for a class that provides a thorough overview of transition (which both look like they do from the info available), but I don't have the time to attend multiple workshops with redundant information. If anyone has attended one or both, I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks, Sue
