Guest guest
Can anyone tell me what the criteria is in order to get into a CILA? How about an ICF DD home? Also, Beth O...PLEASE contact me again. I really want to talk to you! I think I found out why our son's application for Home Based was denied....I wish I could have written the cover letter. (I got the one that was sent to DHS.) Liz
Guest guest
These are good questions which I would prefer to have answered by a provider, someone from DHS/DDD or a case manager... Anyone out there care to tackle this, please? Here is a very brief and hopefully accurate synopsis... ICFDD beds/homes (greater than 8 persons) are an entitlement and if a provider has an opening you have a much better chance of obtaining this residential option as long as the individual with the disability meets the criteria...medicaid eligible, ICAP score below 70... CILA is not an entitlement as it is a waiver service and currently you must meet emergency criteria AND there must be available funding. There is funding for a limited number of emergency CILA placements monthly across the state. For emergency CILA essentially, the individual with a disability will be out on the street without immediate housing...both parents or a single parent must be dying or dead... Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... CILA's & Beth O. Can anyone tell me what the criteria is in order to get into a CILA? How about an ICF DD home? Also, Beth O...PLEASE contact me again. I really want to talk to you! I think I found out why our son's application for Home Based was denied....I wish I could have written the cover letter. (I got the one that was sent to DHS.)
