That article was confusing. He started out saying trying to cure yourself is

dangerous and you shouldn't do it unless your doctor gives yoyou the okay and

even then it does nothing to slow down or stop the didisease. Then later he

says:

" The sad truth is that all medications for autoimmune diseases are, thus far,

experimental and highly dangerous. At a loss for what else to do, countless

doctors are using steroids, anti-cancer drugs, anti-malarial drugs,

immunosuppressants, and whatever else they can think of to try out on people.

They have prescriptions to try and alleviate symptoms and have very limited

success in doing even that. What these drugs do, more often than not, is to

create more serious problems for people whose systems are already over-medicated

to begin with. If your physician fits this description, I suggest you find a

more enlightened one. In the end, you are solely responsible for your own

healthcare.

Autoimmune diseases, regardless of what the doctors eventually label them after

their tests, share many things in common: 1) they're manifestations of an immune

system gone haywire; 2) their causes are a mystery; 3) their usual prescribed

treatments are chemical in nature and don't work; 4) the combination of the

side-effects of the medications and the progression of the diseases eventually

lead to organ failure and death. "

The last sentence is the scary part. I've seen several mentions of how people

with lupus used to die within 2 years of diagnosis. Now with drugs they can live

20 years (I'll die at 50!?!) but most end up dieing of complications of being on

the medications.

Aaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!!!! So i get to choose which one I die from?! I'd rather

get better.

So, maybe the answer is to build up your immune systerm? I have a crackerjack naturopath and he believes it's all in our immune systems, cancer, autoimmune, everything. I see him every three weeks and receive an injection (very large!) of C, B complex, echinachia (injectable from Germany), golden seal, folic acid, and I don't know what all. He calls it a Meyers Cocktail, don't know why but he does. It seems to be helping with my shingles in that I haven't had a breakout in a long time. And prior to this I was having breakouts about every three weeks.

My 1st instinct is to build up my immune system. All the meds they have me on now are suppressing it since it's supposedly my immune system attacking me.Candace"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it."~Chinese Proverb~Sent from my iPhoneOn Feb 12, 2010, at 2:09 PM, "SV" <shavig@...> wrote:

I would also recommend SCIO Resonance

Biofeedback;

http://www.quantumwellness.ca/about_quantum_biofeedback.html

It has every dis-ease and healing modality

built in and heals vibrationally. Certainly can’t hurt.

I (and my dh and my dog) go every month

for a session, just to stay balanced. (In fact, I’m thinking very

seriously of buying a machine for our family use.)
